"I don't think that's a good idea."

"Why?"

'I warned them. They never learn.' I thought to myself, angry that the person had not listened to my obvious warning not to step through the special corridor used for test subjects.

"Recruits...so useless." I heard from behind me, clearly the individual was also aggravated.

"They make good test subjects though." I said as I turned to face her.

"I guess you're right." The woman said. She was dressed in almost all black, other than the silver buckle parts of her uniform.

" Aren't I always.....Eclipse?" I retorted, confidence lacing my voice as I stood tall from my black and red leather desk chair.

"Yes, you are... Wesker."

Darkness. Something I was used to. The dark never fazed me. Silence. I could handle it. The silence without her though is something I was not used to. She was with Birkin when he was killed. She trusted me but I only sent her away. I hid my emotions for her and tried not to hurt her. I probably hurt her more than I know. It probably killed her to never know my feelings even after she shared her feeling with me.

'What have I done? I'm such an idiot. I'm so sorry Eclipse. You don't deserve this. None of-'

I was snapped from my thoughts when I heard someone approaching me. They were wearing boots and had light footsteps. I stayed in place, concentrating on the sound until they were right behind me. Just as I turned, I saw her. Her glowing amethyst eyes seemed trained on my face before smiling.

"How'd I know I'd find you here?"she asked coyly. Oh how I missed that.

"I do not know. Perhaps I should be less predictable next time."

"I would hope there will not be a next time." she retorted, stressing the word "be" to give the hint she did not like the idea.

"We have to do what is necessary, even if that means you being separated from me in order to keep you safe."

"I can handle myself Wesker. You forget what I am capable of."

"Is that a threat?" I inquired, smirking ever so slightly. "Because if it is, I am willing to accept that challenge any day you want to test my skills against your own." I commented, letting a growl escape my lips. If she was good at one thing, it was pressing her luck against me. She knew I would fold. Somehow she always knew. Clever girl.

"One day we will just have to see." she shrugged.

A few minutes had passed before I smelled a high dose of peppermint perfume. I hated that scent. Not due to the type. I actually like mint. However, the perfume was way too strong. That only meant one thing in my mind. It meant Excella was here. She always put too much perfume on for her own good. Thank god it wore off quickly.

Excella walked over to me and propped her arm on my shoulder even though I hate her touching me. She gave me the creeps. "So Wesker, I see Eclipse has returned."

"Yes she has...thank goodness." I muttered the last part. I was tired of not being around the only person I kept close to my heart. Yes, I have a heart. Most think I'm just a heartless monster, but the opposite was true. I do have feelings.
