It was a cold, cloudy afternoon in the city of Yorksville Street. I decided to bring out my umbrella because incase the skies decided to have a good cry today, I am prepared. The busy street, the city lights, the people walking around, it seems like the world is busy keeping itself growing.

To be honest, I love this kind of weather. I love rains and the atmosphere of it. It makes me feel cozy. As I stepped my foot in the coffee shop I work for, the rich aroma of fresh ground and brewed coffee lingered in my nose. I told myself, "I'm ready for work!" I am a full time barista in this café. I must say, I am more relaxed doing this job because I love what I am doing.

I changed my clothes for work and I am ready to go. Taking orders here and there brings a different kind of happiness to me. "I'll have a cup of cortado and a slice of chocolate cake please.", one customer ordered. "Coming right up!", I said. As I was done preparing the lovely grandma's order, I served it to her with a smile and she also smiled back. This workplace has a nice atmosphere to it until...

"Give me 5 affogato for take-out. 2 cakes also. Here, have your salary." Argh. He's here again. If he wasn't my boss' brother I would've splashed those affogatos on his ugly face! Oh, and spread those cakes all over his non-existent 6-pack abs. Ugh. Gosh, he's frustrating me. Nevertheless, I made his order and faked a mother trucker smile. "Thank you, sir! Have a nice day!" I said with full sarcasm. I shouldn't have said this but the reason why I said that is because my boss is here and he's evaluating us. I've heard that the promotion is next month.
