At ease

You extended your arm and shook his hand. You were even more surprised to see that his hand wasn't only quite soft and warm but it was also smaller than yours. You just couldn't help but grin a little bit.
You sat back and weren't sure whether to say something. Just as you were about to open your mouth, Jimin decided to keep the conversation alive.

„I think I'll explode because of excitement."

He said, smiling shyly while twiddling his thumbs.
He was just as shy as you were, but he decided to be the one to step out of his comfort zone, which you found quite impressive.

„Same here. I can't wait to see what hogwarts is really like."

„Did your parents go to hogwarts?"

Jimin asked, tilting his head slightly to the right.

„Yes, both of them actually. They met there too. They are both wizards. What about yours?"

„My mum is a witch, but my dad a muggle. I know, not really spectacular or anything-„

„Don't say that, Jimin. I'd love to hear more about your parents."

You knew that Muggle-Borns did have to face lots of prejudices and were often looked down at. But you never understood why and Jimin really seemed like a charismatic guy. You didn't want him to feel uncomfortable about his family in any type of way. Secretly, you were also hoping to maybe win him as a friend.

Jimin didn't reply anything to what you said. He just smiled and you felt him immediately change his posture and he seemed more... relaxed. At ease you could say.
