Later That Night

"Are you?"

What the Commander had asked repeated in your head. It was late at night and you couldn't get the Knight's terrified expression out of your mind. The one he had made when your sword was at his neck.

It was a nice expression.

"W-What am I thinking?" You whispered to yourself as you held your head over the bathroom sink. You couldn't bare to look at your face in the mirror. Your body was still trembling.

How could you be comfortable with an act of such malice?

'I'm not even exactly sure what happened back there...'

You then began to recall the conversation from after the match...

"That m-move set," Eagus stammered. "It was like you had become a different person. What was with that sword? Where did it come from?"

You had the same questions.

Another line surfaced.

"This incident will stay between us. But for now, I'm revoking your sword privileges for a week." The Commander then put a hand to his neck, covering the shallow cut you had made. "As much as you are my favorite student I cannot overlook this incident. Until you cool off, you're not welcome here. Go now, before someone comes investigating."

But why had he chosen to cover for you? Any normal person would have sought for help immediately.

So here you were, locked up in the bathroom inside the Academy. It was the only place you could think of where no one would disturb you.

But you still hadn't addressed your main grievance.

While you were on that mindless rampage the person you had chosen to attack was Zelda-not Eagus.

So where was the discrepancy? You had no idea why you held this seemingly unfounded resentment towards her.

But was it truly unfounded? As far as you could remember Zelda had been a constant annoyance. She repeatedly stole what you felt was yours.

Recognition.

Was that reason enough to kill her?

'No-'

"Yes."

You looked up not to your reflection, but to another being- and yet it didn't scare you. The presence felt... familiar.

The being's skin was pale and his eyes were a deep black. His appearance was almost alluring.

"What are you?" You asked the mirror. There was no hiding the concern in your tone.

The entity grinned and leaned forward a bit.

"A Demon Lord." He replied. "Lord Ghirahim."

"... Lord Ghirahim..?" You repeated.

"Yes that's it." The Lord licked his lips and it was impossible not to notice the length of his tongue.

"What is a Demon Lord doing in such a blessed place?" You were unsure how to speak to him. If he was telling the truth then you assumed your self to be in danger.

"I came to collect something, but rather unsuccessfully." Ghirahim stated while flicking something off his hand. "My efforts were thwarted by a certain goddess. But it doesn't matter, I'll be able to seize my prize in due time."

'Collect? Prize?'

Then suddenly the events of before flooded your memory.

"Then that tornado earlier..." You paused as he looked at you with surprise. "Was that your doing?"
