... Drip.
... Drip.
... Drip.

You opened your eyes and looked around. But slow to regain your vision, it was a moment before you could describe your surroundings.

You were inside a cavern. Soft, luminous moss lit up the walls with a blue hue. You weren't sure where from, but it sounded like there was running water nearby.

... Drip.
... Drip.
... Drip.

As your other senses came back to you, the water droplets falling off stone quickly faded into the background.

'Where am I?' You held your head in discomfort as you began to search through your memory.

'Wait.'

You had just moved your left arm.

"Wasn't it broken?" You quickly assessed your state.

Much to your surprise, apart from soreness, your body was restored. You could move your legs and the pain from the river bank you remembered was gone. Though, you were still covered in dirt and dried blood and your clothes were badly torn, leaving you in a somewhat exposed state.

'I'm not gonna question why I'm suddenly healed, I'm getting out of here.' You stood up and supported yourself on the cavern wall.

Following a nearby path with your eyes, you could make out a distant source of light. Your exit.

"Geez, how impatient can you be?"

'This voice again-' You quickly looked to the direction of the sound behind you and saw a figure approaching in the darkness.

"It's me." The Demond Lord stated once he was partially revealed by the glow of the cave. His features highlighted by the cyan hue. "You're not gonna leave me here alone are you? After all, I'm the one who sped up your recovery."

You took on a defensive stance.

"Oh?" He raised a brow. "Is that any way to treat your caretaker?"

"I don't completely trust you." You said cautiously.

"I don't understand. What do I need to do to get you to trust me?" Ghirahim sighed in defeat. "I've been supporting you all this time, you know? I was worried about you when I found you by the river..."

'He was worried about me?'

Really, if you ignored his malicious plans the only thing that made him distrustful was his menacing personality. The Demon Lord seemed to be relatively honest for the most part.

"Okay." You physically relaxed but kept your guard up. "... I assume you want an answer to what you requested of me in the Goddess Statue."

"Yes, that would be nice." His eyes passed over your body.

'This is the only way.'

"I'll do it." You replied and kneeled in submission. "I'll kill Zelda."

Of all the options he had presented you, this one seemed to be the most direct one. Anything was fine, but you preferred to not bring harm to Link. As for Zelda... well it didn't matter -it's not like you were actually planning on following through.

The Demon's face twisted into a smile.

"I do sense great determination in you." Ghirahim affirmed and stepped closer to you. "But I also sense treachery." He quickly materialized a blade in his hand.

You attempted to hide the anxiousness in your face as be pointed the sword to your neck.

"I didn't think you'd agree so easily." He pressed the blade into your skin as you kept your sight fixed forward. "You must be up to something."
