Two days to get used to live in England wasn’t long enough but today is the first day in our new job. We applied to work in more places but we got job in one café/ice cream shop near our flat (which by the way look very lovely by the pictures we saw on the internet). When we were talking with the headmaster we asked if we could get same shifts and because the headmaster was really nice we got what we wanted.

“I think I’m scared.” I know it sounds weird but I really feel like that.

“You think?”

“Yeah, I’m not sure how I feel. I’m scared I wouldn’t be good. I guess I know how to scoop ice cream but what about the coffee part? Will I be nice to all the customers? Will I remember the orders? Will I understand what they want? Will I …”

“Chummy stop it! I have the same fears but we have to stay positive. It’s obvious we are afraid of new things but we have to believe in ourselves. Trust me, it will not be that horrible.”

We took a deep breath and then walked into the café where the headmaster was waiting for us.

“WOW” I said after I heard everything what we needed to know for our job. It was a lot of information and I hope I remember everything.

Oh my God! My first customer is coming. I should say my first customers are coming and they are probably a couple.

“Good morning. What …”

“Good morning. We would like to have cup of Earl Grey and …”

“One cappuccino and piece of this chocolate cake” the girl added.

“Okay. Take a seat and I’ll bring it to you in a minute” I said as much politely as I could.

I turned around and I could see Lore already preparing stuff for this order.

When the order was ready I took the tray and went straight to the couple.

“Here is the cappuccino and chocolate cake for lady and here is cup of Earl Grey. Enjoy.” I have no idea why I said it but I wanted to be nice.

“If you’ll need anything, just call me” I added.

“And what’s your number?” The guy asked me. He was really nice and his adorable smile made me blush. I didn’t know what to say so I just smiled and walked away.

“Did he really say it?”

“Yes chummy, why I would lie to you?”

“True. He’s really cute. I’m sure he likes you. He’s looking at you right now.”

“Are you serious?” I was about to turn around and look at him when Lore stopped me.

“Don’t look there, just trust me! For now stay calm and do your job.”

“Anyway he’s here with his girlfriend and nothing will change that.”

I served about seven customers and everything went really good but then it happened. The girl left to the toilet and the cute boy waved at me. I could feel my cheeks getting red but I was trying to calm down and just smile.

“Yes”

“I would like to pay.” He said with the cutest smile on his face. Oh god why is his smile so perfect?

“Okay, so it will be 7,75 £, please.”

He gave me 10 £ so I was about to give him money back when he said “It’s okay. Thank you. See you soon.” with a wink.

“Wow, thank you so much” I sounded probably more surprised than I should be. “See you” I can’t believe that I really said it.

Do I want to see him again? YES!

His smile is making me weak in my knees but he has girlfriend.

I should forget him.

Yes, I have to!
