Chapter 5 - Is it love?

It was him!

He was there with a different girl (this one looked more lovely than the last one) and with one pretty high guy.

Lore’s view

She’s so stubborn! If she would listen to me she could be serving him right now. She was waiting for this moment whole day and now she is cleaning one broken glass.

“You are new here, right?” he said to me with a little smile. Now I know why chummy fell in love with him that quickly.

“Yes, I’m. How do you know it?”

“I would remember if I would see this beautiful face.” His cheeky wink at the end of his answer made me blush.

I can’t fancy him! Lore c’mon! Your best friend is in love with him! You can’t do that to her!

I couldn’t resist him. He started chatting with me and he was so sweet to me like no one ever before.

Yeah, I admit that – I’m horrible friend and I’m deeply in love with that guy who’s name is Jack (how nice).

It’s obvious that Goldie saw us and I honestly don’t know how my apology will sound.

“Jack, we should go.” the other guy who was with him shouted at him.

“I know, give me a minute. It’s probably weird and too quick but would you give me your number?”

“Well, Jack I think it’s not a good idea. I’m sorry but no.” honestly I would love to give him my number but I don’t want to lose my chummy.

“It’s okay. I understand it. Will you be here tomorrow?”

“Yeah, I will.”

“Great! See you tomorrow then. Bye”

“Bye”

I turned around and I saw Goldie coming to me. I’m screwed!

My view

I saw them. They were flirting with each other. I have to admit that it broke my heart a little bit – seeing my best friend flirting with my crush. But I haven’t seen Lore that happy before. And to be honest my feelings for him were not the same as yesterdays. If they will end together this will be a little funny story to tell.

When he and his friends walked away I came to her to give her a big hug.

“I love you chummy!”

“Are you sure?” Lore asked me.

“That’s stupid question and you know it! Of course I’m sure. Now let’s finish it here so we can go home and discuss everything.”

We served our last customers and the worst part of our job was right in front of us – the cleaning. I would never say how hard is to work in café. But as my mum always says: You have to try lots of things to find out how hard they are. She is really wise and I have to say that I miss her. Our relationship is very good and I can’t thank enough for it.

“Finally we can go home. It was a long day today.”

“I still can’t believe that you are not mad at me. How?”

“I have no reason to be.”

“Yes, you have! I was flirting with your crush - that’s a big reason. And I’m really sorry for it. I don’t know why I did it.”

“Chummy if I’m honest I was sad when I saw you with him at first but then I saw how happy you were with him and I couldn’t be mad at you.”

“But …”

“I don’t love him. It was nothing yesterday. He is only yours.”

“You are really the best chummy in this whole wide world!”

“And you are the best chummy in the whole wide universe!” And here we go – our discussions about how amazing friend is the other one. Yes, that’s what we do and very often.

The next day we went to our work and Lore was really excited because Jack told her that he’ll come. He should really come because I don’t want to see my chummy sad plus if I will see her sad because of him – he’ll not be owner of his beautiful smile anymore.

“Are we ready to open chummy?”

“I think that we are.” Lore shouted at me from behind the counter.

 “OH MY GOD! Chummy you’ll never guess who our first guests are!”
