I'm back from the hiatus!

Christmas Day!

Please note that I do not own anything except the plot and the original character.

From now on, this will be in Yume's POV.

I couldn't sleep quite well last night. So I'm up right now and I'm quite tired. My eyelids feel so heavy... It feels like I could fall asleep any moment. But I have to stay up and meet Subaru at the library soon. I got up from my bed and started getting ready for the day. I decided to tie my hair into a ponytail and just attach the ribbon behind. I also decided to wear casual clothes since I didn't have any work today. After all, I did ask Koharu-chan to clear up my schedule.

My Aikatsu mobile rang, was someone calling me? I picked up my phone and looked at the caller ID. It was Subaru. I picked up the call and his voice came through, "Hey Boiled Octopus."

I rolled my eyes, knowing that he's trying to tease me the first thing in the morning. I greeted back, "Morning Subaru. Why'd you call?"

"Nothing. Just felt like hearing your voice."

I blushed so hard after hearing that. Subaru just laughed through the phone, he probably knows I'm bright red right now. I'm just so predictable.

"C-can you not do this first thing i-in the morning..."

Ugh, I stuttered. Twice!

"Alright, I'll see you later." He ended the call.

I quickly put down my Aikatsu mobile and continued getting ready.

"Yo, Yume." He waved at me.

I walked uo to him and greeted him good morning as well. He asked the question that I was well prepared for. I just didn't know how to answer him.

"Why are we at the library? Is it because of Asahina Mira?"

Sometimes, he knows me so well, it's kind of scary. I smiled and nodded, "Yep. I'm sure you noticed it too. Her Stars Wings weren't Stars Wings. I so happened to come across it the other when I was researching about something. Hers is called the Lost Stars Wings. The only thing I know about it is that it will only appear on the person once. That's why we're here today, we're going to look for answers."

I added on, "And probably spend some time together."

I chuckled after saying that sentence. It wasn't obvious, but I could see a tinge of pink on Subaru's cheeks.

After that small conversation, we headed in to start our search for answers.

~ Time Skip ~

From now on, this will be in Subaru's POV.

We decided to stop researching for the day since it was late afternoon. I checked my Aikatsu mobile and the time was somewhere around 4 P.M. I looked at Yume who was putting away the books. She must've been so preoccupied to find the answers for Asahina Mira that she forgot that today is Christmas. But it's so like Yume for her to forget about something like this, haha.

We walked out of the library together and Yume stretched herself after sitting for so long. I guess I should ask her?

"Hey Yume. Are you free for the rest of the day?" 

She turned around and thought about it. She smiled and nodded, "Yep! I should be anyways, I did tell Koharu-chan to clear my schedule for me. What's wrong?"

I took a deep breath and asked her, "Then if you're free... go on a date with me?"

I'll just tell her it's Christmas today later, she must've really forgot about it. I could see her face turning pink a bit, she nodded slowly. Her response made me smile, I grabbed her hand and started walking out of the campus.

We walked around the area and went window shopping, and when we realised it, it was already 6 P.M. Time flies really fast when you're having fun huh? And it should be time around now...

"Yume, are you hungry? It's around dinner time for you right?" I asked.

Right on time, her stomach grumbled. She smiled sheepishly and said, "You know me too well Subaru. Yeah, I'm hungry right now."

"What do you want to eat?" I asked for her opinion.

She just shrugged and replied, "Anything simple will do."

We decided to go to a nearby convenience store to buy a few buns to eat as dinner. After buying the buns, we went to a park that had a Christmas tree in the middle and sat down at a bench. We were both admiring the tree, Yume was looking at specifically the star on the top of the Christmas tree.

"The top star... I wonder how close I am to it..." She said to herself.

"You'll be there soon, I believe in you Yume." I said confidently.

I reached into my pocket and took a box out for Christmas. To be honest, when I called her yesterday, I was already planning to take her out on a date. But when she said she was busy for the rest of week, I was kind of disappointed. Then she suddenly asked if I was free today, I was sort of relieved. The content inside the box is a present for Yume. I handed it to her, she looked at me rather confused. Probably not understanding why I'm giving a gift to her. I flicked her forehead and said, "Yume... How dense can you get..."

"It's Christmas." Hearing that, Yume's eyes widened at the sudden realisation.

She scratched her head a few times, chuckled awkwardly and gave me a hug, "Hehe... I guess I forgot..."

She let go of me and opened the box, inside the box was a necklace. She smile widened so much that her eyes were squinting. She exclaimed, "Thank you Subaru! It's a great gift!"

I smiled in return and offered to put in on for her. She turned around, her back facing me. I took the necklace and put it on her. After I put it on her, she turned around and looked at me with a soft smile on her face. I guess today is full of smiles huh?

What she did next took me by surprise, she pecked me on the lips.

"Wha-"

"You-"

I was so surprised, I couldn't even form a sentence out properly. She kissed me? I'm not dreaming right? She took a step back away from me and said, "Merry Christmas."

With that, she started walking away slowly. Was that supposed to be her present for me? I stifled a laugh to myself and tugged on her wrist. She stumbled back into me and looked up. I smirked at her, "You don't just do that and walk off, Boiled Octopus."

I emphasized on her nickname, she immediately pouted and complained, "Don't cal-"

I took my revenge, taking a long, sweet kiss away from her, under this starry night sky, on the day of Christmas.

This was supposed to be the Christmas update, but you know- Busy celebrating Christmas and all that. Couldn't update in time. I hope you've enjoyed this chapter, I included a whole day of Subaru and Yume together~ 

Not gonna lie, I did kind of fangirl when I was writing the last part. And maybe a few facepalm worthy moments. Anyways, I hoped you had a nice Christmas! If you don't normally celebrate Christmas, I hope you did something nice for yourself. You absolutely deserve it!

Then... I'll see you in the next chapter. Oh and, 2019 is coming up. Should I do another special chapter for that?
