Author's POV:-
It was a beautiful day for a wedding.
Bela was ready for everything. Not to begin her life with the groom but to end those people's lives who made her life into hell. In today's ceremony she was not the bride... but she had her own methods of switching the places.
She enters into the bride's room. "Hi Ritu". She exclaimed
A smile formed on Ritu's face. "Bela babe... come here na".
With a plastered smirk on her face she went near the bride. Girls who were near her went outside to see the groom as it was the time for ceremony to begin. But Bela stayed with Ritu.
After a few minutes a scream was heard in her room..
Mahir's POV:-
Today is my wedding day but I am not so excited as everyone, I believe in true love. I am not interested in this marriage, I accepted this only for the sake of my mom. She believes a wedding can change my fate but I think even after the wedding it is still impossible. She chose Ritu, my childhood bestie as the bride.
I dunno what was her logic , but I hope this works out.
On the other hand Ritu is behaving strange . After our engagement she started to call me respectfully and She is feeling shy around me.
I was fixing my sherwani then a loud noise from outside. Everyone in the wedding hall was screaming. I could sense that something is wrong. I opened my door and the thing which I saw made me devastated. Ritu was carried by four people. I think that she is unconscious.
My mom came near me and said " beta ,Ritu is bitten by a snake" she whimpered. I was shocked to the core. When I was about to help her, mom blocked the way.
"Our relatives will take care of her Beta ".she paused for a while and continued.
"Now you should promise me one thing.You should marry someone in this marriage hall." She said with a firm face.
To be frank I was left speechless. The main idea of marrying Ritu was my mom's ,now she says I should marry another girl without my willingness. Seriously! What is she thinking about me.
"Don't take me wrong my dear but I don't have another choice. I will explain everything after the wedding is over". She said calmly.
"Maa how can you be like this. Ritu needs our help, we cannot abandon her like that and think about another marriage. I am gonna help her".
When I tried to move she again blocked my way. I looked at her confusingly. "please listen to me beta, you should marry another girl. Or else.....y..o..u" she stammered.
"What ?.. If I marry another girl Ritu would be fine uh?. "Say mom". I yelled at her. But I immediately regretted it when I saw tear drops in her eyes.
She started to cry. "Maa. Sorry, please forgive me. I was furious when you said about another marriage. Please don't cry. "
"I said to marry another girl bcoz our astrologer said that you should be married today or else you would be in a danger. Please for my sake marry another girl beta". Saying so she cried aloud.
I couldn't think beyond. I was in a dilemma. On one side my mom is crying and on the other side Ritu is struggling for her life.
I suddenly decided, this may be wrong but I will make it up later.
"Fine mom, I will marry another girl but only after helping Ritu". She nodded her head strongly. I heaved a sigh as she didn't protest again.
I marched towards Ritu. My god her face was turning blue but these people haven't called the ambulance yet.
Silly people. They don't value a human life
I took my phone and called the ambulance. Ritu was on the lap of a girl. Wow she looks beautiful like a pure rose . Her lips is plumpy and kissable. Her eyes..... ...
Mahir your fiance is unconscious but here you are seeing another girl.
When ambulance arrived I lifted Ritu and laid her on the stretcher. After returning to the hall I saw my mom talking with an elderly woman. I went near them.
"Don't worry mausi (aunty) my son will take care of your granddaughter very well".
The old lady replied "After my son and daughter in law died in that unlucky accident, Bela is the only person I have. She is fragile as a flower please take care of her".
My mom noticed me standing there and introduced me to the old lady "mausi ,this is my son Mahir." I quickly touched her feet. She blessed me.
My mom continued "and Mahir this is rama mausi, our Ritu's distant relative.You're going to marry her granddaughter Bela".
I was not yet recovered from the previous shock but here my mother has arranged a marriage with me and an unknown girl Bela.
Who knows may be this unknown Bela is my soul mate. I should be calm and see what my future has stored for me.
