The time was 12:00, the sunshine was glaring through the uncovered windows and Dingo was barking the loudest he could out of the window at the passing postman.

"OI, dingo it's just the postman." My sister started. She stared down at the dog with mean icy blue eyes and a wide pearly white smile she had put on as an act. It may not seem like it but inside she was crying because of me. My cancer had effected her as I was the closest to her and my mother.

"Pips, leave dingo alone." I stumbled over to her and picked her up under her fragile arms. She tried to wiggle out of my grasp but I just gripped on tighter until we reached the chair I was sitting in. I sat down on the plush armchair and rested Pippa on my knee.

"Your such a meanie." Pippa whined. I smiled at her meaningless remark and wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her into a tight hug.

"What was that tough guy?" I said simply. Pippa kicked her legs around signalling me to let go of her or she would throw one of her famous tantrums. So i let go and placed her gently on the soft red carpet.

She walked off into her room, the plaster walls were so thin that I could hear the bump of her weight landing on the bed mattress.

"That's right run away coward." I called after Pippa. I silently laughed at my weird triumph.

I quickly turned my attention back to my phone and continued to play candy crush, or the most frustrating game I have ever played. I wanted to delete it but It was too challenging to not play. So I kept it.

"Damn you jelly!" I threw my phone away on one of our three sofas and stood up to search for something more interesting to prod at. Maybe a board game or the laptop or Dingo.

"BARK BARK GRRR" Dingo growled from behind me.

I looked around to what he was supposedly attacking and spotted a small white envelope laying on the doormat with my name in big black writing printed all over it.

"What the?" I mumbled. I stepped over the dog and picked up the envelope in one swooping movement of my hand. I studied the envelope closer and saw "5 seconds of summer backstage pass" inside the white paper casing.

(If you didn't already know, 5sos was my favourite band and the top listed on my phone.)

"Oh my god!" I screamed in excitement. My eyes opened up wide and my hand covered my gobsmacked mouth. I was so surprised I couldn't even tell my mum who had just walked through the door to me screaming hysterically.
