This is my final project. It's a tragic romance with a focus on characterization. I changed the ending last minute because I would've needed like 10,000 more words to finish it. Maybe I'll make a version with the original plan. Enjoy :)

"Reg, come on. This dinner is important for the future of your father's company," his mother, Cassandra, nagged to the 17 year old boy.

Regulus just grumbled under his breath. He hates these pretentious dinners with pretentious people. He has grown up seeing a limitless amount of gaudy homes with snobby children that he's expected to make friends with.

They never become friends because they're so different neither can stand each other. He doesn't think it's going to be any different this time.

Regulus took one last look in the mirror, examining himself. He had strong aristocratic features. Strong jawline and cheekbones, symmetrical, he naturally looks like he comes from a higher class. Not to mention his nicely tanned skin, hair as dark as his surname, and green eyes. His eyebrows are freshly groomed and sharp, much like the rest of his features.

He was wearing dark dress pants with a white button up shirt tucked in, with the first button or two undone. He wore a black blazer and matching shoes, with his favorite silver watch. Nothing particularly special, not casual, formal without being too formal. He had to make a good impression for his parents sake, and he was ready.

"Your father just pulled in, lets go," Cassandra directs her son as she receives word her husband is there.

"You mean Sebastian just pulled in," Regulus muttered under his breath and resisted the urge to shout to correct her, making his way outside to join his father and their driver in the car.

The ride was short, this business partner didn't live that far away from him. He was a politician in fact. Regulus was even less excited after finding that fact out, and even lesser so when he found out they were American.

"Damien, Cassandra! This must be Regulus," a kind looking woman answered the door. Her features were soft, unlike that of Regulus and his family. She had brown hair in soft curls, gentle brown eyes and an excited smile on her lips.

"Yes ma'am, it's a pleasure to meet you," Regulus says as he holds his hand out, meeting hers and bringing it to his lips to leave a chaste kiss, practicing the mannerisms that have become second nature to him. If possible, her smile widens at his greeting, before she ushers them inside.

"The dining room is this way, Calypso is probably in there arguing with her father about what he's not doing in the government," she leads them and explains. They walk through the walls of the ostentatious home, through a large arched doorway and into the large dining room. The table was not as big as the room, for the Romano family uses a different one when they have guests over to suit their needs and seat everyone in attendance.

"- you need to do something-"

"- there's nothing I can do-"

"- thats bullshit-"

"Calypso! Language, we have guests," Lacy raised her voice, stopping her husband and daughter from arguing and successfully capturing their attention. They looked at the rooms new occupants sheepishly for a second, before getting out of their chairs to greet them.

"Damien, Cassandra. It's lovely to see the both of you. You must be Regulus, it's very nice to meet you. This is  our daughter Calypso," Matteo greeted his friends, introduced himself to Regulus, and introduced his daughter to their guests. Calypso plastered a smile on her face before shooting a look at her father.

"I can speak for myself, father. It's lovely to meet you all," She then turned and greeted her guests, bowing her head with a much more compassionate tone than that which was just used towards her father.
