SHOULD I CALL IT RAPING?
"Finally." I sighed.
I was glad that I had escaped that hunted house. My questionable bro. My advisable mother and my torturing father.
Currently standing in front of a blue and white painted building, which was my school. The huge banner that had, 'Fawcett High School,' stood out boldly.
The trees were freshly cut. The car park was tidied, having the white lines that showed the space people could take to park their cars. This was the same impression I had when I first came to the school.
The atmosphere tensed up. A new class. A new beginning. A strange feeling passed through my body and I shivered, coming back to my right senses.
Why was it so quiet?
Damn. I knew I wouldn't make it to school early. Assembly was probably over by now and everyone was in their class.
I rushed inside the Hall, but it was empty. My footstep echoing as I walked.
Something was wrong.
I walked briskly to the principal's office, but her door was locked. I tried the janitor's office door but it was locked too.
I heared a car halt, which made a terrifying squeal of a break, "Whoever driving that car should learn how to stop driving above the speed limit." I rolled my eyes before going to see who it was.
Rushing outside, I saw Hannah coming out of her car, with a fake smile plastered on her face. Some other people arriving too. Some with a car, while some on foot.
I didn't understand why she had to put up the fake smile. She could put up her normal face, no one would criticise her for that.
"Noel," she walked towards me, with her hands wide opened. "Are you okay?" She asked as she pulled me into a tight hug.
"Yep, I guess so," I answered, suffocating.
I pushed her off me slightly. Even if I died who would care? I'm just a useless can drink thrown into the bin by everyone or that invisible girl that wanted to push herself away from attention.
I peered at her face.
Makeup. She did it again. I told her to stop putting it on. Yes, I believed she was seventeen, but at least, wait till you're eighteen.
I didn't bother tutoring her about it. It would enter one ear and leave the other, in seconds. She had a purple crop top and black denim jeans on.
"What happened to you yesterday?" she placed her right hand on my left shoulder, "Your brother called me to tell me that you had fainted yesterday. I wanted to hang up but I didn't because he mentioned your name."
"Wait-" the school getting crowded. I challenged myself not to shout. I didn't want anyone knowing that I almost got raped last night...should I call it raping? "I thought you knew what happened to me yesterday because you were the one that introduced me to those guys."
"No I didn't, I was even confused. I called Carlos and he told me that he left you with Matthew and Michael, so I called Matthew and he said he left you with Michael." She talked in one breath.
Yeah, so they were three. No four. One left with Hannah. I recalled.
"So-" I crossed my arms to make what I was about to say come out serious "-didn't you call Michael?"
"Yep I did but he said you were okay. He said you were brought back home safely by someone and that you just fainted." She sighed. "I even asked him why and he said because he just asked you to make a promise that you would come to the park today," she laughed.
"Is that all he told you?"
Trying to hold her laughter she answered me. "Yep, I guess."
"Why are you laughing?"
"Noel, how could you just faint because a guy asked you to make a promise?" She bursted out to laugh even more.
Noticing people staring at us...her. I put my hand on my forehead and shook my head.
Why didn't Albert Einstein just give my bestie his brain. How dare she just allow the guy to say that, without asking him any question?
Han scanned me wearily."What are you wearing? Are you going back to your old rags?"
"I am not in the mood to stand you right now. I have something to tell you, it is urgent," I remembered my father's words.
"Bring home Hannah, I have some questions for her."
She opened her bag and brought out some clothes.
"I will only listen to you if you change into these clothes."
"You must be joking right?" I laughed this time.
"Nope," my laugh ceased completely, "I think you are the one joking. Come on let's get you changed before the school get filled up with students," she pulled me forcefully to the washroom.
"I like what I am wearing, I like the way I am." Realisation hitting me, "Wait-" I paused for a moment. "What did you say? Please repeat it."
"Repeat what?"
"You said, I should hurry up and change before school gets filled with students."
"Yeah, why?"
"What is time?"
She checked her Rolex watch before looking up at me. "It is from 06:57."
