Y/N fell asleep reading the book, and as she did the other night, she wrote on a paper "9 Days" And put it in the book.
She felt like Y/N's home was already hers, and she watched TV until she fell asleep.
But Y/N had a strange feeling that was literally choking her in her sleep, so she woke up. She was as thirsty as ever and went down from her room to the kitchen, she noticed the tv was on but she didn't Even turned it on.
She shrugged her shoulders and got a cup of water then went back to bed.
But Y/N couldn't fall back asleep, so she took her time to read the book. She would never understand why everytime she opens the book she founds papers into it, were They already there? How did They appeared?
She went page by page, reading as slowly as she Could so she would understand the meaning of it better. But there was a particular sentence in that book.
"The Goddes will follow everyone who owns her book, but the strongest ones will be able to read it"
So this meant, was she followed by The Goddes?
And if she was, that means her dream wasn't just a coincidence and also the pages were meant to be there but why was she counting?
It's was already near morning as the sun was raising in the sky and she could see it from her window.
She again left the book on her bed and went to the window, looking outside while she was opening it to get some fresh air, she wanted to call her friend, the librarian, her name was Evelyn, she actually was an exchange student.
They Knew eachother for about two years now and Evelyn was older than Y/N, and she Kinda liked her, maybe, a bit, even Y/N doesn't know but she finds her funny and attractive.
On the other half, The Goddess was up now, she was actually watching Y/N who was watching the sun raising.
Y/N continued to watch as the sun was going up in the sky, slowly trying to get tired again but it didn't work, it made her actually be awake.
It's was already 8 in the morning and Y/N got dressed, did her makeup and put the book into her backpack, The Goddess sat back watching her and as Y/N left the house, she did too, following her.
She Went Straight to the library, Straight to Evelyn's desk Where the girl was already sitting.
"Evelyn, something strange is up with this book" She looked up from her computer "What do you mean?"
Y/N sat down next to her "I keep finding papers with numbers on them, every morning there's a different paper with a different number on it, one that wasn't there before" Evelyn looked up on the web what it could mean, and she looked worried and surprised at the same time "Y/N it says here that when The Goddess finds her new victim, the one who owns the book, she will count down 10 days until she will show herself to the owner of her book"
Y/N went silent, looking at Evelyn "Do you still believe these are legends?" Asked Evelyn.
"Maybe? I mean, could it be a coincidence?" Evelyn turned to Y/N with a blank face "Are you kidding me?" Y/N shrugged.
"Has anything except this happened to you these days?"
"Well, tonight I could sleep, The first night I went home with this book, my chair kept moving on its own, my house started to smell like cherris and vanilla" Evelyn kept looking on the internet about it and searching about The Goddess.
"Maybe you should leave the book here, Y/N.." Evelyn turned her chair to Y/N and you could see through her eyes that she was worried.
"What? No! I want to read it all" Y/N pouted and Evelyn sighed "I don't want anything bad to happen to you, you know? I really care about you" Y/N turned pink, her cheeks were like cherries in a second.
"I don't know Evelyn.. I don't think something could happen" Y/N looked down at her lap, playing with her fingers "Your choice, I can't change it. Anyway, I was invited to a party some days ago, tomorrow night.. and" Evelyn bit her lip, her leg shaking nervously "Do you wanna be my guest? only if you want to, no need to do it if you don't want to"
Y/N smiled "Yes, I want to" They both smiled at each other "I should get back to work, talk to you later?" Y/N nod her head, stood up from her chair and waved goodbye to Evelyn , she kept thinking to herself: Was this a date?
Omg I could finally write, I'm so sorry for such a long pause but really, I just finished all of my exams today, I actually had no inspiration to write all this time, from when I started this book until now, I wasn't actually able to write at all, been through ups and downs, but as summer is here now, I'll try to do it, I can't promise anything but I'll do my best and I will also review my other books to edit them and make the more grammatically correct as english is not my first language.
I sincerely apologize!!
