The next day, a girl about the a year younger than me guided me around the small settlement. She said her name was Lili, and was a bit shy. She had short blonde hair that reached just below her chin with a little purple bow on the left side, and green eyes. Lili also mentioned something about having a brother, who's name was Vash.
"Over there is the dining hall," Lili said with her light and shy voice. I looked towards where she was pointing at, and saw that a few of the people that were gathered yesterday were beginning to form a line outside the door of the dining hall. "Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is usually served there, and some snacks as well!"
"You sound really happy about that," I point out. Her voice got happier when she mentioned food. Lili looked towards me, and turned slightly red.
"W-well, I would usually eat with my brother every time..."
"You don't eat with other people?" I question. Lili shook her head.
"No, Big Brother kind of gets irky whenever I sit next to someone else... So I sit next to him so I won't have to make him worry."
Lili continued to walk, and I followed, glancing around so that she could introduce me to the places she hasne't pointed out yet. "There's also the field over there where we get some of our food from." A person walked by, and I watched as he waved at Lili. She waved back and shyly said a hello back. The man was tall, and had light blond hair with glasses propped on his nose. He seemed a bit intimidating. He wore a simple dark blue shirt, and long cargo pants.
"That's Berwald," Lili informed me. She glanced back, watching the man Berwald walk away to else where.
"Do you know him well?" I ask.
"N-no, not really..." Lili said, a bit embarrased. "There's a lot of boys here, and I'm not exactly good approaching them..." She blushed, and I laughed.
"Not good with guys, eh? Don't worry, you'll get out of that shy shell eventually!"
A loud bell than rang throughout the air, and you could feel it vibrating. Lili looked up, and her eyes widen slightly. "That's the bell for breakfast. I guess it's ready." Lili then looked up towards me. "You'll get to meet the others there... A lot of names to remember, but you'll get to it eventually."
I saw a guy who looked a bit similar to Lili standing outside the entrance way to the dining hall. It felt like he was glaring at the both of us. More at me though. "Erm, I'm sorry... That's my brother... I have to go..." She bowed a bit, before quickly walking off to her brother.
I guess everyone isn't comfortable with a newcomer. I sighed, and watched as everyone began to pile into the hall as I just stood there. I wanted someone to approach me. I would have to eat alone.
Just when my hopes were becoming low, I hear someone call out my name. My head perked up like a rabbit emerging from their hole. I saw the person with the strange astray curl on the right. I remember him shouting out his name to me, but I didn't remember. It had to be somewhat Italian, since he had a faint Italian accent.
Fernandez? Felishia? No, that sounds like a girl's name...
He approached me, following with a tall blonde behind him and a short Asian man. "Hi [First]!" the one with the curl chirped happily.
"Hi..." I said uncertainly. I sounded rude didn't I? But wouldn't it be more rude if I just said 'Hi... Whateveryournamewas.'
Curly had a light disappointed look on his face. I could feel myself being apologetic already. "S-sorry. What was your name again?"
He chuckled. "My name is Feliciano, remember? It's nice to meet you officially!" Feliciano grabbed my hand, and shook it up and down simultaneously. It wasn't until the blond behind him took his arm and pulled it away from mine forcefully. Feliciano shot out a string of apologies in a flash.
"Hey, it's not his fault!" I jumped in. The blond turned towards me, with that almost forever mad look that Berwald had.
"Right..." He let go of Feliciano's arm, who looked like he was on the verge of tears. "Er, sorry. Feliciano sometimes forgets his manners." I waved it off, saying it's okay. "A-anyways, nice to meet you [First]. My name is Ludwig."
I shook out the hand he stuck out, and I could feel that he was uncomfortable. He was a bit red. Laughing, I let go of his large hand. "What? Never shook hands with a girl before?"
"N-nein, I have never."
That's when the short person beside him, took a few steps forward. He seemed a bit flustered if you ask me. "Hello... I am Honda Kiku." Honda- Wait, it's Kiku right? He's Japanese, so it's Kiku.
Kiku took a small bow, and then stood back up. I smiled, but inside I felt like introductions took forever. "Hello, Kiku! It's nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too."
The morning lasted out nice. Feliciano had invited me to eat with him and his friends, which I found pleasant. He introduced me to his brother, Lovino, who was the total opposite personality. Then there was my bunk buddy Antonio, who gave me a pat on the back when I saw him.
And there was Gilbert, the silver haired guy who gave me the distasteful look yesterday when I arrived. I don't think he liked me one bit. He would shoot me glares once in a while every time I was nearby.
Ludwig pulled me out a while back, and said that his brother would act like this whenever someone new would come.
"Since when was the last time he acted this way?" I asked him. He shook his head.
"Never. We all arrived together at the same time. This is the first time I've seen him hate someone so. Besides Ivan I guess."
I felt relieved back then when he told me that. But Arthur, the one with the messy blond hair, already suggested that I should start working so I could get used to things. He signed me up for plant picking for this afternoon, which was about now.
Not until now I realized how much Gilbert didn't like new comers like me.
I was paired up with him for cabbage picking, and he didn't like the idea of him and I working together.
Things got a bit rough.
