They say everything begins with a trial, right?
"I'll send someone to come pick you up, alright? Is that fine with you?" he asked her.
"Yeah, sure." She pouted.
"Nothing is going to change my mind, so be rest assured you're meeting Khadijah today, okay?" he asked.
"Uh-huh," she replied.
"Bye."
"Bye."
He got into the car and drove off.
Rumaisa waited until the guard closed the gate before she turned and walked back inside.
Her phone rang.
"Where are you now?" Zubair asked as soon as she answered.
"You call me, say nothing, and now you're asking where I am?"
"Look, Rumaisa, you and I need to talk."
"Zubair, I can't talk to you right now."
"Why? You're too busy?"
"I know what we're going to talk about. I'm already married."
"I wanted to talk to you about Stacy."
"Stacy kuma?"
"The girl who was found dead last year."
"Oh, yeah, her. What's wrong?"
"The folder they gave you that belonged to her father, where is it?"
"It's still in Debrecen. I forgot about it."
"Okay, tell that roommate of yours I'm on my way. I need to get it immediately."
"Okay. Bye."
"Alright."
He ended the call.
Part of Rumaisa was heartbroken that he did not sound distraught at all.
She stared at her phone for a moment before sighing.
"Let me go get dressed."
She walked toward her room.

Rumaisa got out of the car and entered the building's lobby.
It was enormous, with three massive chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, polished marble floors, and a large reception desk directly in front of her.
There were framed pictures of Baba, Fuad, and Salis displayed along one of the walls.
She walked toward the reception desk.
"Excuse me, please. Which floor is Fuad's office?"
"And you are?" the woman asked.
"Rumaisa Ali Bature. His wife."
"Oh, I'm sorry. He's in a meeting, but his office is on the sixth floor."
Rumaisa was about to leave when she noticed a Live Foundation handbook lying on the desk.
Fuad and Hamida were on the front page.
"Can I have this?"
"Yes, of course."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."
She took the handbook and headed upstairs.
Luckily, she spotted Walidain on the sixth floor.
He greeted her and showed her to Fuad's office, but since Fuad was still in a meeting, she sat at the reception area and waited.
