(Jacey's beach home)(Spectacular isn't it?XD) If only... :(

"Attention all passengers to La Jolla. We will be landing in two minutes. Thank you for flying Air California. We hope you enjoyed your flight. Have fun and be safe." The speakers went silent. I grinned to myself. Soon I'll be surfing the waves and swimming with the sea life once more. Tracker wouldn't be in my life for long, just for the day most likely. Then he's out of my life forever! I gave a mental whoop in my head.

The jet landed, and after what felt like forever, I finally was able to walk off. I took a deep breath of the fresh air and grinned with delight. After grabbing my bags, I trooped out to another taxi. Soon I was standing in front of my beach house. I ran to the door, unlocking it, and walking into the mud room. Dumping my suitcases, I rummaged inside until I found the slip of Tracker's phone number. Picking up the home phone, I dialed the number. Gotta get him over with, if I want to enjoy my time here.

Tracker picked it up on the second ring.

"If you are a salesman then I don't want to talk to you." He says bluntly. I almost laughed out loud. Does he always do this?

"This is Jacey." I smile.

"Oh, hey Jace, where are you?" Jace?? I roll my eyes.
"At my beach house in La Jolla."

"You have a beach house? Cool."

"Are you ready to eat water?"

"I'm always ready to eat water. I'll be there in fifteen minutes. Where shall we meet?" I paused, considering.

"Blacks Beach. One of the best surfing spots."

"Sweet. See you there, cupcake."

"It's not cupcake!" I yell into the already dead phone.

After changing, I ran into the garage and whipped off the canvas to my water sea-doo. I checked to make sure everything was working properly before wheeling it out to the sandy front, where I pushed it into the water and jumped on, trailing the surf board behind it. It took a good ten or so minutes to get to Blacks Beach. I shot the sea-doo right up onto the sandy beach and leaped off. I grabbed the board and looked around. Tracker was not here yet. Might as well practice. I jumped into the lukewarm water and paddled out to where the waves were. they weren't very big today but they will have to do. Three foot waves were nice. After a few test runs, I turned the board around to see a figure jogging along the beach with a surfboard. He paddled out beside me with a grin on his face.

"Nice seeing you again." Nice seeing you again too.

"Hm.." Was all I said in return. Tracker chuckled.

"So should I go first to show you how its done?" I gave him a dirty look and splash water in his face, then took off, laughing. I paddled fast, then stood up. I zipped smoothly along the wave, before sliding over the top and beyond again. I went back to where Tracker was clapping.

"You're a natural." He said. I wasn't sure if he was being sarcastic or not. I give him a mock bow from the waist. He has no idea that I had been practicing until he came.

"Why thank you." I reply right back. I've been doing for years.

"My turn!" He pushed off through the water to catch a wave while I just sat back to watch. As I watch him stand up to take the wave, a cold feeling washed over me. This is almost exactly how Nick and I had started out. It started out casually. Us just having a good time as he gradually gained my trust with his carefree personality and goofy ways, me not knowing he was a psychotic genius scientist. I felt like I was replaying everything that had happened. I met a boy. Laughed at things he said. Agreed to hang out. Had joked with him. Gradually started liking him. Oops. That last one just accidentally popped in my head. Scratch that. I will never fall for another boy again. Sure Tracker seems genuine, but what if that's just a coverup? Like what Nick did? I shake my head. I hadn't given the time to get to know Nick. I had just jumped 'in with the sharks' like an idiot. If I take it slowly with Tracker and really get to know him then I could judge him fairly. I roll my eyes. Tracker probably doesn't see me as any body. He's just being a boy. Asking a girl to hang out with him so that he could see what she was like. I doubt that he likes me. I haven't really given him a reason to like me.

"Whew! That was some fun!" I break out of my thoughts to see Tracker sliding his board up beside mine, water streaming off of him. He shook his head like a dog, making water sprinkle on me. I laugh, holding my hands up to cover my face. I will enjoy his company, but I will keep my guard up just the same.

We spent the next three hours surfing, swimming, and I let him attach his board the back of my sea-doo and I pulled him around. I guess it was more of a silly experiment, trying to keep the board from flipping over. It flipped many times. Each time I'd have to turn around and go back for him. We found it ridiculously funny for some reason whenever he flipped. One time in particular, he slid off the back as it flipped but managed to grab hold of the fin. Me, laughing as I looked back at him, accidentally zipped over a seaweed bed. Poor Tracker shrieked the whole way through. I laughed so hard, I almost fell off the sea-doo. It wasn't until after we were safely back on land did Tracker finally laugh about it.

"I didn't know you had such a high vocal range!" I cackled, rolling on the sand with mirth. He fake scowled at me.

"You try being pulled through that stuff! You'd shriek too!" He defends, suppressing a shiver.

"No thanks! I'm good." I gasp for breath. I finally managed to stand up with weak knees. "Come on. Let's surf again." We grabbed our boards and continued surfing. During one of the times of resting, I glanced back at the beach to see a girl in a red bikini walking around my sea-doo. I watched her carefully as she crouched down to peer closely at something on it. She stood back up and looked towards me. I remained staring at her. She turned and casually walks back up the beach. What was she doing? Admiring it? Trying to see what brand it was? Thinking if it was worth stealing? I knew for a fact that the place she had peered at was nothing more than my initials and phone number in case I lost it or something. Maybe she was just wondering what it was and wanted a closer look? I shrugged it off. I'll just keep an eye on it.

The sun was starting to set by the time I realized the time.

"It sure is nice here." Tracker commented as we sat on our surfboards together. We were the only two out there aside from a paddle boarder who was a longer ways out than us. I hum my agreement. Something on the beach catches my eyes, making my head turn. A blond man was standing on the beach, looking out our way.
