I woke up with light blasting into my room. I groaned and slammed my head into my pillow. Then, I heard someone lightly knock on my door.

"Yeah," I called and the door opened.

"Um, some tall boy with glasses is at the door for you." Leah said and I turned to look at her. I gasped when I saw a big, purple bruise surrounding her right eye and cheek.

"What the-"

"We were swimming at midnight last night with some locals and Aspen jumped in and accidentally elbowed me."

"Wow." I rubbed my eyes to get a better look.

"Anyway, should I let Mr. Nerds in or...?"

"No," I said to quickly and she jumped.

"Why not? Mom and Greg are in Merrilake with some friends and Craig is out on the lake with some locals so, it's just me, Aspen, and Anna."

"O-kay. Um, tell him I'll be down in a minute and watch Aspen." I sat up and slid out of bed.

"Um,"

"Um-what, Leah?"

"Aspen is, uh, has already started her interrogation."

"Oh, God. Um, I'll hurry up then."

"Okay." I rushed into my closet and threw on my swimsuit and a light sundress. I pulled my bag off of the door handle and swung it onto my shoulder my bag while I ran into my bathroom. I doubt you would care if I didn't have makeup. Your brother said you're the kind of guy who falls for anything with a pulse, but some part of me knew he was talking about himself. Especially when you came out cheeks already red with 2 water bottles and some keys in your hands. I decided to put on a little bit of mascara and lip gloss before I bounded down the stairs. Looking back at that, I guess I went a little too fast because next thing I knew I was falling straight into your arms.

"Morning," you said with an amused look in your eyes.

"Hi," the breathless me said. You set me down and right away I wanted to be back in your arms. Someone coughed behind me.

"Morning, pop tart," interrupted Aspen. "So, Andrew here was just telling me that you guys met at the pizza place when he spilled stuff on you. How come we haven't met him, Lillian?"

"Because I'm sure Drew doesn't want to date someone who acts like they're 12. C'mon, Drew, lets go outside." I grabbed your arm and started to tug you outside.

"Okay, um, nice to meet you guys-girls, sorry." You stopped resisting and went willingly after waving goodbye. We sat down on the patio furniture and and my stomach growled. "Have you eaten breakfast yet?" You asked.

"No, I just woke up."

"Oh, well, you should probably go eat something."

"Um, I... I'll just ask Anna to make me some pancakes or something. Do you want anything?"

"Anna?" I sighed dramatically.

"Our personal chef."

"Um, I normally would say no because that's polite but I'm really craving a bacon and cheese omelet."

"Coming right up." I stepped inside the sliding doors and went into the kitchen. Anna was already at work making some pastries for Aspen and Leah. "Anna?"

"What do you want, Lily?" I know it sounds rude but honestly it wasn't. She is just temperamental in the morning; we're all used to it.

"Well, I would like you to make some chocolate chip pancakes, my friend wants a bacon and cheese omelet, and for to stop sleeping with Greg." I nervously spun on my heel and before I left the kitchen I turned around and said, "Start sleeping with Craig instead. He's always talking about how hot you are." Her mouth opened slightly but I left before she could say anything. Anna is only 22 and is the niece of our chef back home. She only goes with us on trips and such. Craig is only 2 years older than her and he - before he married Kelly - used to always dropped hints about taking her out. "So, what's up?"
