You, Ash and your friends were on your way to the nearest pokemon center after traveling for days without having a real healing break. Of course you could heal the pokemon, but that was risky of being seen and it takes energy to transform and heal others.
"Are we there soon?" asked Misty exhausted.
"We should arrive soon according to the map" said Brock and looked down to the map he was holding.
As the sun was setting a big shadow cast over all of you, and when you saw up you saw a Charmander laying on a rock.
"A Charmander?" asked Ash.
"Yeah, and it's tail looks weak" you said.
"Yeah it does" said Brock. "Maybe we should help it"
"Hey there" you said to the Charmander. "What are you doing here?"
"I am waiting for my trainer to come back" answered Charmander.
"Do you know when they will come back?" asked Ash.
"You can understand me?!" asked Charmander shocked.
"Yeah we can, but do you know?" you asked.
"No, but he said that he'd come back" said Charmander.
"Your flame seems weak" said Ash. "Do you need any help"
"No I'm alright" said Charmander.
"You should really go to the pokemon center" you said.
"I can't" said Charmander.
"Why can't you come with us to the pokemon center?" asked Ash.
"My trainer will come and I have to stay here" said Charmander.
"What is it saying?" asked Brock.
"He says that he won't go to the pokemon center because he was told to stay here and that his trainer would come and get him later" you answered.
"Can't you heal him (Y/N)?" asked Misty.
You shook your head "This is out in the open, so it's to risky to transform here"
"We can't force him to come along, and if his trainer will come then we should just go" said Brock.
"Alright" said Ash.
Everyone turned to continue walking, but then you heard the bush behind rustle. You looked over, but didn't see anything. You then turned again and walked over to the others.
The red pokemon inside the bush watched as you left with the others, and then focused on the Charmander again.
*** (timeskip) ***
When you arrived to the pokemon center, all of you gave Nurse Joy their pokemon then sat by a table.
"Do you think the Charmander will be alright?" asked Misty.
"I hope so" you said.
"It really seems like his trainer will come back" said Ash.
"Yeah" said Brock.
Then all of you over heard some trainers talking to a trainer who was bragging to himself about his pokemon. And that was when you found out that he was Charmander's trainer and that he lied to Charmander and abandoned it.
Ash and Brock walked up to the trainer and asked why he abandoned it.
"It was to weak" said the trainer named Damian. "It wouldn't leave me alone so I told it that I would come back"
