El's POV:
Mike hasn't really said anything about his birthday, is he lying about his birthday? Nah he's not. I don't think.Mike asked his mom about staying in the cabin yesterday and she said yes. Okay, Mike asked his mom on the twenty-first and today is the twenty-second. So three for days till Christmas!
Right now, Lucas is driving us to Mikes cabin in the forest. Mike said that he snow is really deep there and sledding will be a thousand times better. He also said that when he was younger, him and Nancy would make igloos. It would be cool if we all can do that.
We were in Lucas's van, I was sitting by Mike in the back. Dustin and Will were in the middle, and Max was sitting next to Lucas in the passengers seat.
"Guys, I have to tell you something!" Mike yells but not too loud.
"What?" Will asks.
"I've been... I've been lying about my birthday." He says quietly but loud enough for all of us to hear.
"What?" I ask.
"Yeah, uh my birthday is on the 23rd." He mumbles.
"Why did you lie to us, Mike?" Lucas asks, still driving.
"I don't know." He looks down at his feet.
"Your birthday is tomorrow?" Dustin says.
"So, you're still fifteen?" Max asks.
"Yeah, I'm still fifteen." He gets quiet.
"So, we are going to the Cabin for nothing?" I say and Mike shakes his head.
"We'll be at the cabin today and tomorrow for my birthday, it will still be fun."
"Oh, okay." Everyone seems to brush off Mikes lie, but why did he lie? He probably has his reasons. So I won't bug him about it.
"Are we almost there?" Dustin whines.
"We're like ten minutes away from the cabin." Mike says annoyed.
"Huhhhhhh." Dustin grunts.
"Let's play a game!" I shout and Will and Dustin perk there heads up and cheer.
"Yeah!" Will says excited.
"Let's play truth or dare!" Max suggests.
"Yeah!" Will says again.
"Okay, Will, you go first." I say and he nods.
"Mike, truth or dare?"
"Dare." Mike says with no hesitation.
"I dare you to punch the window sixteen times as hard as you can." Mike nods and stands up in front of the window.
BANG
Mike hits the window hard. His knuckles are getting pink already.
BANG
He hits it again. His knuckles are red now.
BANG
Mike grunts in pain, but he hits it again.
Twelve punches later...
"Last one, Mike!" Will yells. His knuckles are getting bloody.
BANH
Mike hits it one last time.
"Ahhh!" He groans. His hand is all bloody, it looks like it hurts a lot.
"Are you okay, Mike?" I ask worried.
"I'm okay." He shrugs, he swings his arm over my shoulder and I lean my head on his shoulder.
"Glad you're at least a little okay." He nods and hugs me tighter. I exhale and inhale his scent. He smells of cologne. I can't really put my finger on it, I can't figure out what it smells like but it smells good.
"We are here!" Lucas yells and we all run out of the van, desperate to step into the fluffy cold snow. Dustin jumped into a huge pile of snow and sighed. Will laughed at him.
"Let's go sledding." I say and Mike goes to get the sleds. This time I used the same sled with Max. It was Max and I, Mike and Lucas, and Will and Dustin.
"Whoever gets to the bottom first, wins!" Mike yells.
"On your marks, get set, go!" Max and I are in first place so far, Mike is second, and Will is last. Will and Dustin start to fight and they both end up falling off the sled and tumbling down the hill.
"Mike and Lucas are about to pass us!" Max yells and we try to go faster. And... and... and....
"We won!" Mike yells at the top of his lungs.
"No, we won!" Max yells back.
"We won!" Lucas yells.
"We won!" I yell back and I scare everybody, they all jump and I start to laugh.
"Jeez, El, you can really yell." Will comments.
"Yes, I can." I say.
"Let's go to the cabin and make hot chocolate." Mike says and we all start to walk to the cabin.
"Oh, yeah, guys, I forgot to say that some other people about our age will be staying he also because my family share it with someone." Mike tells us.
"Okay, that's fine." I say and we walk into the cabin. It's really big and made of wood. Well, no shit, it's made of wood.
Right when we walked into the cabin, a bunch of girls about our age came running in our direction. Ugh, great, they are girls.
"Who are you guys?" A blonde girl with glasses asks.
"Well, I am Mike and these are my friends, we have come to stay here for today and tomorrow."
"Oh, you're Mike Wheeler." She says.
"Yeah, how do you know my last name?" Mike asks.
"I know your mom and dad." Mike furrows his eyebrows.
"Okay." Mike says weirdly.
"Well, see you later." The girl blows Mike a kiss but he just rolls his eyes and grabs my hand. That's my boyfriend. I say in my head. The girls leave and we leave to the kitchen.
"So, who wants hot chocolate?" Dustin asks us, we all say yeah and he makes it.
*Four hours later, it's 8:00pm*
I was walking around the cabin, it's two stories high. I took a turn and I was going to walk into the kitchen, but I heard whispering. It sounded like Mike and someone else. I peaked a little bit and that girl and Mike were kissing. I gasped and Mike looked at me.
"El, it's not what it looks like." I run in any direction and I run into Will.
"El, what's wrong?" He asks, right now tears were streaming down my face. I threw my arms around his neck and hugged him. "El, what's wrong?" He asks again.
"Mike, h-he kissed that girl." I sob into his shoulder.
"I'm sorry, El." He hugs me tighter.
"El." Mike says behind me. I look at him and give him my worst glare.
"No, Mike!" I yell and he flinches.
"El,please nothing happened." His voice cracks.
"Oh, so I didn't just see you kissing that girl?!" He stays quiet.
"Thought so, come on, Will." I grab Wills hand and take us to anywhere at this point.
"El." Mike says again but I just ignore him.
"I'm so sorry, El." Will tries to comfort me.
"Thank you, Will, but you don't have to be sorry." I smile at him.
Well, that was a cringy ass chapter in my option. Thank you for reading, please vote and comment! Stay tuned for the next chapter...
