"Mom,  do I really have to!!!? I shouted.
"Yes Em......i don't know how many times I have to explain it to you but yess.....you are going with me to work today!"mom shouted back
"But muuuuuum..... I don't want to... It's so crowded and everyone looks at me funny"
"Emma! Get down here or I'm going to drag you here myself"mom yelled
"She said Emma" I thought and face palmed myself... That meant business and in other words 'get your sorry ass down here!! '

I'm not gonna lie.. I loved my mom.. She was practically my role model. But she could really be a pain in the behind sometimes... Just because I got home late she thought making me going to work with her was the worst punishment.. And it was!!!  Mom new how much I hated her work place. It was sooo boring and everyone else there was also boring. I wonder how she tolerated them considering my mom is so lively but I guess being a publisher was mom's dream and what the hell.... We needed the money.
So I quickly brushed my hair and teeth and ran downstairs

"Mom..... You so play dirty" I wined as I bit into my toast
"Cover your mouth when chewing Emma... And I don't know how many times I keep telling you to come home early... But you keep doing the opposite sooo... Today you are going to work with me"

I was so mad because I could here triumph in her voice and quickly gulped down my juice and followed her to the car. She knew I was mad from the constant smirks she kept on giving me but I wasn't going to show her how fased I was... She turned on the radio and when "Old town road by Lil nas x" blasted out I knew I was a goner
She started nudging me to sing along with her since it was our favorite song but I acted like I didn't care... When the song reached its chorus I couldn't stop myself anymore and I started singing along with her.....

"I'm gonna take my horse to the old town road I'm gonna ride till I can't no more... I got the horses in the back.... "

That's when everything went black.

We crashed.

I survived.

She died.

And the only funny thing when I look back is that I didn't end up going with her to work.
