You had recently gone out shopping with some of your friends, wanting to buy some nice clothes and accessories for your birthday, which was in a few days, and of course some gifts for your girlfriend Demi, for her birthday which is just six days after yours.

You had already bought a black Gucci purse for Demi, and of course because she's been asking for one, a Pandora charm bracelet with 4 charms on it. You now only had to buy yourself a nice outfit for the birthday party you and Demi would have together, why have two parties when you can have one huge one, right?!

Your friends had dragged you from store to store, showing you all the cute dresses, in literally every color you could think of. But why would you ever want to wear a bright yellow dress?

You've already given up, deciding on searching for a dress online and to just go to the food court, to get one of those amazing little pastries they sell there. Your friends, of course, agreeing, the food too good to wait for.

While you went and got you three coffees and three little chocolate pastries, they went to find a table to sit at. The paparazzi wasn't that bad today, so you didn't have to sit at a table in the far back, hiding from them.

They choose a table by the clothing shops, and we're just chatting while waiting for you to come to them with the drinks and food.

You and the girls just chat and eat for a while, and you think about how you still need to find a special dress, that Demi would like.

You always wanted to impress Demi. You wanted so bad for her to like you, you couldn't lose her. She is literally all you have. She was your first ever lover, and to you, the only lover you will ever have.

And you're really scared she will break it off if you aren't good enough, hence all the make up you put on every morning before she's even awake. You had to be perfect for her, so insecure.

You had seen a beautiful black little dress in a shop that you've walked by it this morning, and you liked it. But you weren't sure if it was good enough, it was kind of basic, right?

It was a tight black dress, with thin straps and went all down to the middle of your thighs. You liked it. A lot. So you cleared your throat and asked the opinion of your friends.

These are your very best friends, and you've known them since like forever, and of course they knew about your insecurities, trying to help you whenever and however they could. So they told you they were coming with you to the little shop on the other side of the mall to buy the cute dress. They had seen it, and told you it was perfect for you, rising your confidence a little bit.

When your food was finished, the dragged you to the dress and looked through the rack to find the right size, pushing you towards the checkout, where you bought the dress.
They even bought a pair of nice black heels for you, behind your back.

So when you were back in the car, you sat in the back with all the bags, and they handed you another bag, one you haven't seen before.

"Here, it's a present, they'll look perfect with your dress!" One of them said.
"And we'll be there for the party, so you can't chicken out of that dress!" The other one giggled.

You open the bag and see a shoe box, opening it and seeing the beautiful shiny heels.
"Oh my god guys, they're beautiful! Thank you so much! You really shouldn't have done it! But thank you!!" You squeal excitedly, taking them out of the box and kicking your white air forces off, trying on the heels. They fit perfectly, so you take them off and put them back in the box. Standing up and getting out of the car to walk over to your friends' side and opening the doors, hugging them as a thank you.

Two weeks later, it's finally the big day. The day you and Demi were hosting the party, and the day Demi was seeing your dress. You've been extremely nervous ever since you woke up, not knowing if it was enough to be with Demi.

You know she was the one to ask you out, and you know she's in love with you but you're still insecure. The music industry was hard, and it could put a lot of pressure on your relationship if everybody thought you weren't enough for the world-known singer.

Demi's in the bedroom, her makeup's being done by Jill, while you're just doing your own makeup in the en-suite bathroom, you are a makeup artist after all, so you should be able to do it yourself. You had pulled yourself in the tight dress, and you had already straightened your hair.

You couldn't hear anything in the room next to you, so Demi and her makeup artist should've left. So you ran to grab your phone from where it's charging on the bedside table on your side of the king sized bed. That, until you hear whistles from the doorway.

You turn around slowly, facing your girlfriend of a year and a half who's standing there with a big goofy smile on her face, she looks amazing in that light blue summer dress of hers.

"You look amazing babygirl!" She says, walking over to you.
"You think?" You ask her.
"Yes baby, you're looking gorgeous, don't you think so baby?" She asks, looking in your eyes concered, while wrapping her arms around you.

"Well, like, uhm, I-I felt like it wouldn't be enough for you. Like, it's so simple and basic, I know I should've bought something better, I'm sorry" You stutter, well, mumble while walking out of her arms to sit on the side of the bed.

"Baby, why do you think so, of course you're enough for me! Who told you you're not?" She asks while walking over to you to sit on her knees in front of you, trying to get you to look at her.

Continuing, she grabs your hands.
"You're more than enough for me baby, you know that! Everything you do is so so amazing and god, you look so good! You're my baby, you know that!" She says, pulling you off the bed and onto her lap.

You giggle, wrapping your arms around her neck as she lays her face in your neck.
"I love you" she mumbles.
"I love you too" You say, running your fingers through her black dyed hair.

"And if you ever feel like this again, please tell me baby! I care so much about you and I want you to feel like you're enough for me, because you are baby! Don't listen to other people, because you really are!" She says, and you smile.

That night, you have a lot of fun with all the friends and family that came to your party, and you feel better than ever.
