Small patches of an old rainbow hidden beneath gray smoke.
As if it were beauty masked and buttoned inside a torn cloak.
Ready to escape from its bondage and emerge on our travels afar.
Past memories stocked away for the future of who we are.
In a few months time the sun's light will return.
Taking steps towards a new adventure with the least of concern.
It is well into Winter and I am still lost in the Summer and Fall.
A time of haste, chaos and a variant of movements in all.
Following the winding rivers into mirrors of water and life.
Looking back on the year with a smile though there were moments of strife.
Luckily breaking waves carried me away and brought a warmth to my heart.
A new respect; A new perspective on every breath of this art.
Offshore crashing through white foaming crests.
Serene, alive, free, invincible and feeling my best.
Tall and casting shadows like the cities colossal structures.
Blue with a heart full of holes the metropolis healed my punctures.
Yet I belong where British soldiers lay and the Indian pipe grow.
This is the place only friends and I truthfully know.
A hidden gem such as sandstone caves.
Such a miraculous feeling we could hardly behave.
Fairy tale paths leading onto ancient steps down through the coldest streams.
Offering an atmosphere where life was not what it seemed.
This myriad of hemlocks providing a soft evergreen ceiling.
Spahgnum covered the floor and rock walls with a comforting feeling.
Our last obstacle of such an intricate season was that of inspiration and ease.
Laughing with strength as if I could conquer the seas.
Laughing so loud you could hear it from the mountains peak.
As of now that is where you will find me and the love that I seek.
A love that is colorful and free, no longer bound by chains.
A love that is neverending, promising and far from pain.
A certain love In which one faithful man can surely attain.
Love that is indefinite and will eternally sustain.By: Dayne M. Rohn
