Slowly, the scene around the room changed in a blink of an eye. Instead, the now clean, dull white walls were normal; as well as the dusty posters near the teacher's desk. Sitting in at one of the back tables was Tweek--a pencil was in his hand, and infront of him, a science textbook was flipped open to a random page. Confusion and astonishment was laced around his facial features.Craig stared at Tweek for a good minute, confused about the sudden scenes that flashed before him. Was he hallucinating when the walls were coated with nonsense and crimson? Well he must've been since the scenery faded away rather quickly; it was the most logical reason. It wasn't like some magical fairy came in and cleaned up the once gruesome classroom. Well, atleast Tweek was here with him.
"Hey, Tweek." Craig said flatly, earning an 'ack'.
"Are you stalking me?!" Tweek said. Sometimes his paranoid personality annoyed Craig--probably some others too.
"No."
"Then why are you here?!"
"Looking for you."
"That's basically stalking, dumbass!" Tweek exclaimed, slamming his pencil onto the table.
"No. Stalking is where you watch them because you love them. A lot." Craig replied. His voice having a slight attitude towards it by now.
"Well m-maybe that's why you, 'just-so-happened-', to walk in here while I was in here as well. Who knows, you might have millions of pictures of me hanging in you're room, and you watch me sleep!" Tweek cried out. His hands tugged at the ends of his wild hair, purely out of habit.
"Maybe I do." Craig shrugged, strolling over to Tweek as he stood by his side. "But I doubt you sleep." He grabbed ahold of Tweek's hands, placing them onto the table. But once Craig was about to let go, Tweek snatched his hands away from Craig's loose grip.
The air around the two of them grew awkward; quick. So, Craig's attention turned to Tweek's textbook. "Did you forget to do homework or somethin-" He tried to change the subject, but was soon cut off.
"Why are you in here, Craig?" Tweek asked, his voice lowered into a--somewhat--soft tone. Obviously, he was getting pretty irritated around Craig's presence.
Craig stood in silence. Was it really appropriate for him to state the real reason why he was here? Afterall, it was a bit early to say something like this. No. Decoy or not, Craig had to stick with his plan; no matter how ballsy he had to be. Afterall, he was pretty sure Tweek had a girl partner.
Now that Craig thought about it, he doubted Tweek had one. As Cartman once said years ago; "People aren't into him, they find him quite annoying." Sadly, that one person who had--out of the blue--the heart crushing feeling for the feral blonde, was Craig. Who knew someone like him would develop these feelings for Tweek?
He took a seat on one of the stools beside Tweek, and paused for a moment. "I actually came to look for you. We need to talk."
At first, a panicked expression pooled around Tweek's iris'. But then, that expression faded into some kind of, calm, one. As if the summer haired boy realized someone took the time to find him; or atleast stay to talk. It warmed his jittery heart.
Tweek managed to make a small smile. "O-okay."
The smile alone sped Craig's heart up. The loud, drum-like beats of it echoed into his ears. How did he already develop feelings for Tweek this fast? He was pretty sure he liked girls--seeing as he didn't mind being with some in the past--but he also didn't mind the fact of being with the spazzy boy. Even though this all confused Craig, very much, he didn't care. The hell with it, in fact. If he thought something was right, then he should pursue it--even though everything was going by so fast.
For the first time in his life, the plain, ink haired boy began to grow nervous. If things ever did turn out bad, he could always try to relive today again and start over. Besides, he was basically living in a Groundhog's Day world.
Craig rested his left cheek in the palm of his hand, his eyes averted on the table standing below him. "I might like someone."
"W-who?" Tweek asked, curiosity heavy in the tone of his voice.
"You."
This left the once calm Tweek, in shock. Taken a back, his eyes grew wide; the dark bags underneath his eyes standing out as he did so.
The way Craig stated that so casually confused Tweek. For God's sake, he thought Craig was straight. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing that Craig apparently had romantic feelings towards him. The two barely talked for years, how did he suddenly have feelings for Tweek? Honestly, it made him feel good inside. It honestly made him feel lucky to hold a place in someone's heart. More specifically, someone like Craig's heart. It wasn't too common someone like Craig would feel lovey-dovey about someone.
Although Tweek still twitched here in there, he was slowly trying to calm himself. He still couldn't believe he hasn't gotten a heart attack yet.
The old, bright smile that once held a permanent place on Tweek's face returned. "You do?"
Craig's head rose up, his yellowish, looking hazel eyes landed onto Tweek. During that moment, the two sat there; small smiles plastered onto their features. The awkward atmosphere, was turned into a warm one.
I guess this really was Craig's tomorrow's today.
