You woke up to the bright sunlight shining into your room, assuming you had woke up earlier than your alarm again. But you were wrong. You turned over checking your phone and saw you were an hour late for work.
"Shit" you said jumping up from the bed. It was 9:33am, you were supposed to be at work for 8:30am. You opened the bedroom door and headed towards the living room, to find your mum sat using her laptop. "Mum why didn't you wake me?" You asked.
"You have a day off right?" She replied.
"No?"
"I'm sorry honey, I just assumed because you didn't wake up. You're usually good at getting to work on time" She said apologetically. You rushed back into your room, quickly throwing on your work uniform, not really concerned it hadn't been cleaned. Heading straight to the bathroom, you pinned your hair hair into a ponytail with no time to put on any makeup. You left straight away, running to work. This was the first time you had been late and you weren't sure on how your boss would react. "I'm so so sorry for being late" you said to your boss behind the counter of the restaurant. " I forgot to charge my phone over night and it died , my alarm didn't go off" "As this is your first time, and you're being honest I'll let you off" your boss said " But don't let it happen again" You looked behind your boss to see a grinning Jin, who was finding you being late amusing. "It's not funny" you say, giving him a glare once your boss had gone.
"It is kinda funny" he said, washing some plates "you're lucky it's been quiet this morning" Before you knew it, you were called for your break. You pulled your phone from your pocket, instead of texting you decided to call Hobi, because you forgot to reply to his text last night. The call rung straight to answer phone so you just figured he was working. After eating some leftovers your boss gave you, you continued your shift. As you're halfway through serving a customer, you hear the door to the cafe open. Looking up, your gaze met the eyes of Tony, one of Hoseoks new friends. You didn't like him one bit, he was a bad influence on Hobi, and you were pretty sure he knew how you felt about him. After the customer left, Tony made his way to the counter.
"Hi what can I get you?" You asked, faking a smile. " I don't want food, I want to find your boyfriend. Do you know where he is?" Tony said, tapping his fingers on the counter. You didnt know how to react, he seemed pretty serious. He didn't even address hobi by name. "Um, have you tried calling?" You replied. "His phones been off since last night. As I said , do you know where he is?" He said sounding slightly threatening. "Have you tried going to his workplace?" "He works?" Tony asked surprisingly." looks like he got another job without mentioning anything to me" "What do you mean another job?" You asked. Tony chucked and turned around to exit the cafe. "Just tell him to call me when you hear off him" and he closed the door behind him. Jin had been listening to the whole thing next to you. "Another job? I thought you said this was his first one?" Jin asked.
