Louis: "This doesn't count as a fucking date, I hope you know that." He grumbled to you while you were following behind him as you walked to his car. "I already said it wasn't. We're just hanging out as friends." You said as you sat down in the passenger seat of his car. "Where are we even going exactly?" Louis was obviously frustrated in the moment; his face red and his knuckles white as he gripped onto the steering wheel. "I don't know," You replied. "Anywhere I guess." The car ride was completely silent; not a word was spoken and the radio remained off. "We're here." Louis said as he parked on the side of the dirt road. The place he had stopped at was an open field that was across from a dirt path and a dark looking forest. "It's pretty." You mumbled speaking about the open green field as you were getting out of the car. "Too bad we're not going there then." He said, also getting out of the car. "Where are we going then?" "We have to cross through the forest. Then you'll see where we're going." He said, already heading towards the woods. "Are you crazy, Louis?" You said, refusing to move from your spot near his car. "Y/n, I may be plenty of things but crazy isn't one of them. Now, c'mon before it gets any later and we can't see where we are going." Louis continued walking and, you figured, it would be best to follow him before he left you completely alone. "Is it even safe to be going in the wood when it's almost night time? I mean, aren't there animals or something that live here?" "Relax, y/n. You're here with me, nothing will hurt you." He said, glancing back at you, though he didn't look into your eyes, with a small, genuine smile on his face. "We're here." He said, pushing some tree branches out of my way. The view was amazing; we were on a huge cliff of rocks that overlooked the ocean. "How'd you find this place, Louis? It's beautiful here." You said, sitting on the edge of a rock and dangling your feet over the edge. Louis joined you moments later, sitting extremely close to you as he replied, "Whenever I'm angry, I came here. So I guess that means I come here a lot." Louis, who was silently hoping that the conversation would end there, sighed when you continued to question him. "Remember when you saved me that day, Louis?" He nodded. "You said you had feelings for me. What kind of feelings?" This time, he simply shrugged, refusing to meet your gaze. "Please, Louis. We came here to be alone and talk but it doesn't work if I'm the only person talking here." "I'm trying, y/n. I really am," He said, looking into your eyes for the first time all night. "I already told you that I have feelings for you and every time I see you these feelings seem to become so much stronger. I keep telling myself that I don't like you-not because I don't want to-because I shouldn't. You have such a bright future in front of you; you should have and want nothing to do with me. I think that's what confuses me the most..." As he trailed off you suddenly realized how close both of you were; at any moment he could connect his lips to you with even the slightest movement. "Louis," You mumbled, still staring at him. "What's confuses you?" He sighed, pressing his forehead against yours. "You're not scared of me. Everyone in this town is either terrified of me or they hate me; but not you. You go out of your way to find me, to talk to me and I want nothing more than to-" He was cut off by your cell phone ringing and quickly pulled away from you. Cursing under your breath, you answered. "I-I have to go home, Louis. My mom's worried since I was supposed to be home a few hours ago..." Standing up, he sighed. "Okay, Thanks for joining me tonight, y/n. It was nice." His hand reached down to help you up, quickly leading you back through the woods and towards his car.
Liam: "You didn't have to drag me here, you know, Liam" You said, flattening out you hair which had been messed up from the time he had carried you. "We both know that, if I did put you down, you would've left and I couldn't have let that happen." Liam said as he, surprisingly, held the coffee shop door open for you. "I'll order something for us, go find a table." You huffed but did as he asked to avoid another argument with him. You found a table in the corner and decided that would be best. Minutes later, Liam returned with two coffees and a muffin. "Can you at least answer some of my questions?" You asked, gratefully accepting the coffee and muffin from him. "Yeah," He said emotionlessly. "Go ahead." He sighed and leaned back in his chair, facing the ceiling. "Were you really in jail because you beat up Jake?" You repeated your question from earlier. "Yes, y/n, I was and I honestly don't give a fuck because that asshole deserved everything that he got. Now, do you want that or can I have that?" He said, pointing to the muffin. "Take it." He grinned evilly while doing so. "Liam." You mumbled, scared to upset him again like earlier. "Huh?" He, somehow, managed to say as he stuffed his face with the muffin. "Can I ask you a question?" "You just did, y/n," He said, reaching across the table to lift your head to look at him. As your eyes met his, you saw a rare look of sincerity in them. "Sorry, I didn't mean that, babe. Ask away." You sighed, debating whether to ask it now or not. "Why do you always like nothing ever hurts you. I can tell that that isn't true. All those rumors started about you, I see that they actually hurt you but you just don't want anyone else to notice that you actually have feelings about-" "You really do talk a lot." He mumbled, interrupting you. "Well, sorry if I was dragged here against my will. Maybe you should just take me home, Liam. It's getting late anyways and I don't want to walk alone in the dark." You stated, standing up and gathering your phone and bag. As soon as you saw that Liam was about to disagree, you continued to speak. "Please, Liam, I just want to go home." Unwillingly, he agreed and followed you. Not a word was spoken the entire walk to your house. "I'm sorry about tonight, y/n," He mumbled as you finally reached your home. "I know I've been a complete asshole tonight but I really didn't mean to be. I'm trying, y/n. I really am." You shrugged, not really caring anymore because, after tonight, it seems pointless. "It's fine..." You mumbled, searching for your keys which seemed to be hiding from you. "No," He said, turning you around to face him. "It's not. Now, let me at least attempt to fix tonight." His arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you against his chest, and pressing his lips harshly against you. Once the initial shock of the kiss wore off, you moved your lips against his. "I'm sorry." He mumbled against your lips, resting his forehead against yours as soon as he pulled away. "What was that for, Liam?" You laughed lightly, staring into his eyes as he spoke. "It wouldn't have been a proper date if I didn't end it with a kiss, you know." He said. "Like those sappy movies."
