We ran for quite a bit, finally reaching a soothing field. We stopped. "What's your name?" I asked. "Courtney. And yours is Heather, I know. You're kind of the leader here." She took a deep breath. I looked at her. Her eyes were twinkling with color. It looked like a thousand dreams were finding their path among green, bright eyes.
"Why are you coming with me?" I asked. Her eyes looked disappointed. "If you're escaping you need a good reason to. I don't want to stay, because you seemed very worried. I'm a trained guard, so I think I could help you." I nodded. "Wow." I kept on panting. "Where should we go?" She asked. "I really don't know. I just know that we need help to get to take down this place. Do you know somewhere where we can get help?" Her eyes lit up. "I do, actually! It's a bit far, but I think we could make it in time. We might be followed around though, so we have to be careful." I'm glad that she knew so much. "You're right. Do you know how fast the guards are?" She looked thoughtful. "Well. They are almost as fast as me, but I think some of the guards will sink them. I have no idea though. We really don't know anything about them. Now that I think about it, I don't know if they'll follow us. We won't know what they do until we see them again."
I looked around. A beautiful, pink-ish field was surrounding us. I felt so peaceful and calm. Courtney looked at some sort of device on her arm. I wondered what it was, but felt like I had asked too many questions already. "We should get moving. Everywhere we go are full of magic, if you didn't know that. It's quite weird. Some places are normal, but there are most likely people in those places." I nodded. "Good to know." She looked at the soft, purple sky. "I think we should keep moving. If they are after us then they might catch up to us soon." She already showed me that she knew a lot, but maybe that's standard for guards.
"That's a good idea," I said. We kept walking quite quickly, but not too quickly. I wanted to grab her hand again, just so that I knew we had each other still. She looked busy with something looking like a map. I kept looking at her wide, gorgeous eyes. I don't think she noticed, but she may have been ignoring it.
I sighed, as we left the field.
