{ At School during lunch }

I walk into the cafeteria and immediately hear shouting. I see Ari apologizing to Alex. " What's going on ". I stand in front of Ari. " Ari what's happening. " Nothing. Don't worry about it . I just tripped ". I turn around to Alex . " Are you really going to do this ? ". He crosses his arms. " She bumped into my so she should say sorry ". I roll my eyes. " You should say sorry also ! ". He rolls his eyes. " I don't have to do anything ". I laugh. " I actually thought you were nice yesterday. I actually even thought about joining your group but I guess I was wrong ". Alex stops smiling. I grab Ari's hand and pull her along with me. " Let's just hang outside for lunch ". When we're outside we find a bench to sit on. " Thanks Jess ". I smile. " It's nothing really ". She smiles back. " Hey do you have any plans for Friday since it's Halloween ". I think for a little bit. " No not really, I'd probably just un pack some stuff in my room ". She smirks . " Theres a huge party Friday night at a warehouse. You should come ! ". I look away. " I'm not much of a party person and besides I don't have a costume ". She grabs my hand . " Please ! Come have fun ! Trust me you will and if you don't we can leave ". I take a deep breath. " Fine , I'll just wear my last years costume ". She smiles . " You'll have so much fun ! ".

{ Friday Night At Ari's House }

" You look great Ari ! I cant believe you went as a vampire ". She smiles. " Thanks, but you look amazing Jessi. Going as a demon, it fits your personality ". We both laugh. " let's just go ". She nods and we get into her car and make our way to the party.
Once we get to the party she pulls me inside. However I'm quickly separated from her. " Ari ! Ari where are you ! ". I roll my eyes and walk over to a corner and stand alone. After a couple of minutes a group of guys who are clearly drunk come and stand in front of me. " Hey. Hey your that new kid right ". I nod my head yes slowly. " That would be me ". One of the guys come closer and basically clings to me. " Y-you should party with me . At my h-house ". I try to push him away but he's strong. " Get off of me ". The guys laugh while the one clinging to me starts to kiss me and he starts to pull my shirt up. I look away and ty to stop him but it doesn't work. " Get off of me ! Stop it ! ". I feel the guy let go off me and I turn to look at him but he's now on the floor. " Leave ! She said stop ! ". He looks at me and motions for me to leave so I run outside and head to the side of the warehouse. I sit down on the dirt as tears start to stream down my face. I felt disgusting. " Jessica, are you ok ". Alex comes and sits down next to me. " I feel disgusting. He kissed me and started taking my shirt off ". I start to remember it and I begin to have a panic attack. My hands are shaking and I'm crying even more. Alex does something that I'd never expect. He pulls me into a tight hug and rubs my back gently. " I was so scared. I felt helpless ". I try to focus on something else. " It's ok I'm here for you, no one can hurt you ". As I pull away to rub my eyes I realize that Alex is staring at my hands. I look down to see them glowing and I quickly put them behind me. " Alex, you didn't see anything ". He looks up to me. He's clearly confused. " Jessica, why were your hands glowing ". I pull my hands out from behind my back. They're normal again. " I would tell you but there's to many people and I can't reveal it. It's dangerous ". He grabs my hand and pulls me over to a car. " what are you doing ". He makes me get into the car and then he gets in and starts to drive. " Where are you taking me ". I look at Alex who's clearly lost in his own thoughts. We pull into a dirt road and continue to drive for a while before we stop. He motions for me to get out and I nervously do. Alex however practically jumps out and runs to me. He grabs my shoulders. " Explain, no one can hear you here ". I look around and then take a deep breath. " You can't tell anyone ok ". He nods his head and I take a step back. " I can manipulate lights. I don't know how but it's always been that way ". I put my hands out in front of my chest.  A small ball of light manifest on top of my hands. " Incredible ". He walks closer and touches the light. He quickly pulls his hand away. " That hurts like hell ". I laugh slightly. " That's why it's dangerous. So please Alex. I'm begging you to keep it a secret. We had to move here because someone to people. I can't make my mom drop everything and leave. Not again ". I drop my hands and the ball disappears. " I wont, however can you join my group. I'll help keep your secret safe ". I cross my arms. " Only if Ari can be apart of it to ". He laughs. " That's fine with me. I have a question though. Are you ok. After what happened at the party ". I look away. " I don't know. I just feel disgusting and ashamed ". He pulls me into another hug. " I'm sorry that happened to you. I won't let it happen again ". I pull away and smile. A small blush makes its way on my face. " You better be nice to people from now on. I will beat the shit out of you if you don't ". He laughs. " And then feisty is back ". I roll my eyes. " I'll take you home ". I smile and get back into his car.
