I got out of the metro and started walking. I love Mexico City its just so... homie. I know that when tourists come, the first thing they tell them is that the city is very big and it is, but I don't know I just love it. I can't imagine a summer away from here, its too far. I won't be able to walk everywhere. I wish I could just stay here.

Before I knew it, I was sitting in Ielito drinking a dark chocolate frapp. Oh dios mio its sooo good. A few seconds later I see this tall figure with blonde hair walk in. At that moment I knew who it was.

"Hola corazon, what up?"

"Hey well I just really needed to get out of my house."

She sat down and looked straight into my eyes.

"This is bad, what's wrong?" with one look she new something was up. And this is why folks she is my sister. 

"Ayy where do I even start?" I told her. She sat back in her chair. 

"How about the beginning," and there she goes being the Carmen I know. 

I sighed "So you know how this was supposed to be our summer?"

She took a sip of her frapp "Yeah?"

"Well, now its not."

She looked at me "What why?" she started drinking her frapp again.

"Because I am going to London."

She spit out her frapp to the guy next to us. Poor guy, she was in shock and honestly it was pretty funny for her act like that and I would laugh if I wasn't so sad.

"WHAT! No you can't leave! What are you going to do in London?"

"I know, I don't want to go but my ama is making me go with my tio."

Her eyes widend "Oh dios do you mean?"

I cut her off " Si Carmen with my Tio Simon."

Her eyes widened more. I didn't even know eyes could go that wide. "Oh dios so you are spending your summer with one d-"

I put my hand over her mouth "Shh! I don't want anybody to know. But yes, I am spending my summer with them."

She grabbed my hand and screamed and ran out of the coffee shop. I ran after her and she was screaming her head off. Once I saw her running in circles, I just sat down and waited until she was done.

"So you're telling me that you are spending you summer with the biggest boy band?"

I sighed " Yes, Carmen, I am. "

She just looked at me " Oh dios de la vida, no es posible."

Then started ranting about it in spanish. Suddenly I got a call from my ama.

"Yes ama?"

"I need you home paola, you need to pack."

"Why? I don't leave till a couple of days."

"No, you leave tomorrow."

I looked at Carmen who was looking at me. I just sighed and hung up the phone.

"Carmen, I have to go pack." The look on her face just killed me. She looked like she just lost her puppy.

"Ay okay, but I am going to miss you like a lot, and I want to talk to you everyday okay?"

She got up and hugged me "Okay, I will te lo prometo," I reassured her.

We did our little pinky swear. "Do you want a ride home corazon?"

I thought about it. Might as well."Yes that would be good." 

We started walking off and I thought about how this was going to be the last time I was going to walk with her this summer. It mad me sad and when I turned around and saw my best friend walking next to me, it made me even more sad because it was the last time I was going to see her this summer. 

At the moment life sucks.
