My fathers Bestfriend

Chapter twelve.

"Bailey hurry up. it doesn't take that long to put makeup on" josh screamed from down stairs.

"I'm coming chill"

I said running downstairs. I saw Curtis at the bottom of the stair case he was warring a white button down shirt and black pants. He looked fine. As I was walking down the stairs I just smiled at him the whole time.

"Where is josh?" I asked.

"Oh he's already in the car waitin on us" he said looking me up and down from head to toe and then back up to my head. "You look beautiful baby" he said.

"Thank you Curtis you don't look to bad yourself" I said smiling.

I was warring a black dress with a white belt in the middle. And my hair was Curley. And my makeup was looking good.

We pulled up to a huge Italian resteraunt. And I got out of the car and walked in with josh an Curtis. The lady sat us at a table for four. Curtis sat beside me or course.

"So um josh where is your friend?" I asked.

"She had some things come up but she's on her way now she will be here soon" he answered.

"Who is she? What's she like? do you like her? does she like you?" I asked.

"Well I thought this was the best way to tell you. Is at a dinner" of course my mom told me one day that is how he always likes to tell people news rather it was good or bad. was over a dinner. "We are engaged." He said.

"What?" Curtis said looking mad.

"Curtis stop she helps me alot she does all that she can for you and me so I don't understand why you don't like her" he said.

"Maybe because she's a bitch to everybody when your not around josh." Curtis said.

"Congratulations josh I'm proud of you" I said.

Curtis looked at me like I was crazy or something. "you won't be saying that after you meet her I promise" he said.

"Curtis stop. if josh likes her then let him go for it. it's most likely his decision not yours so stop like seriously" I said.

"Fine" he said.

"Oh and um bailey I've been wanting to talk to you about something" josh said.

"What is it?" I asked

"Well I really don't like you calling me josh. but I understand why your doing it honestly I do. but when are you gonna start calling my dad. And actually thinking of me as your father please. I want you to understand how much I'm trying to get close with my daughter"

"Sorry josh, but I'll start calling you dad when you start acting like one" I said.

He didnt say anything else to that. Everybody sat in silence for about 10 minutes.

"Hello guys sorry I'm late" I'm guessing that was Stephanie that said that. She looks really nice actually I don't know what Curtis is talking about.

"And who is this?" she asked looking at me.

"Oh hi I'm bailey. Josh's daughter" I said putting my hand out to shake it.

"Um ew I don't shake hands but nice to meet you i guess" she said in her snobby tone rolling her eyes.

I didn't even bother to say anything back.

Stephanie told me I looked fat so I was upset the whole ride home. When we got home I ran up to my room. I ran into the bathroom. I'm already one if those girls who got bullied all last school year for my weight to for the whole school year I made myself throw up everytime somebody called my fat. It made me really upset so I only weigh 106 pounds because I lost so much weight.

I ran into the bathroom crying. I got down on my knees and hugged the toilet with one hand and with my other hand I put it up to my mouth. I put two fingers down my throat until I got the feeling to vomit. As soon as I did. With tears running down my face. I heard a knock at the door.

"Go away!!!" I screamed.

"Bailey it's me are you okay?" I heard Curtis say through the door. I leaned up against the wall. With my knees up against my chest tears rolling down my face more and more.

Curtis opened the door and looked in the toilet and then looked on the floor and saw me.

"That was messed up what Stephanie said bailey it really was but dont listen to her baby your really not fat at all." He said sitting down on the floor with me.

"You know Curtis , I used to get bullied because of my weight last year at school. So every night everytime I got called fat that day I made my self throw up." I said.

He looked in the toilet and then back at me. "bailey you didnt?" he says.

"I did, I had to" I said back with tears rolling down my face.

"No baby no" he said pulling me into a hug. "You didn't have to do anything" he said.

"I wanted to" I said.

He didnt have anything to say to that he just picked me up bridal style. And walked into my room and laid me on my bed.

"Please my beautiful princess promise me you won't ever do that again!" he said.

"No promise" I said back in sobs my vision was blurry because of all the tears. He wiped a tear off of my cheek and bent down and kissed me.

"Please baby just promise me" he said.

"I promise" I said slowly.
