Chapter 9
Emmi's POV//
It was the man who "adopted" us. He was running toward us.
"Run! Run!" Avia yelled.
I ran so fast my sneakers almost flew off my feet.
"There's a golf kart! Get on!" Gavin yelled back.
"We don't know how to drive this!" I screamed.
"Who cares! Get on!" Avia yelled.
Gavin turned the keys and started driving. The man was right behind us.
"I want mom and dad!" I cried.
"Gavin keep driving!" Avia exclaimed.
"It's running out of gas!" Gavin cried.
Then we stopped. I turned around and the man was right behind us.
"AHHH! He has me help!" I yelled as the man pulled on my hair.
"You let to of her!" Avia said as she kicked him in the shin.
He let go and we started running again. The whole time I ran my face was looking back. I ran and ran until I ran into someone. It wasn't Avia and it wasn't Gavin. Who was it?
