Your family has told you that you needed to choose a familiar....

You yawned and blinked your eyes to fully wake up. You got out of bed.

You were excited. Today was your 16th birthday and you got the chance to choose a familiar as your companion.

Rushing out of your room, you headed towards the living room where your father and mother were waiting.

Your mother spotted you first. "Oh! (Y/n), well it was about time my child. I thought you'd never get out of bed." She huffs as you giggle.

"Sorry mom, I guess I couldn't sleep last night due to my excitement." Your mother just shakes her head and gestures for you to come closer.

"(Y/n), your mother and I both know how excited you are to finally choose a familiar. But, do you fully realize how much of a responsibility it is in taking care of one?" Your father asks in concern but you merely rolled your eyes.

"Dad, I'm 16. I think I know how to take care of myself by now, don't you think?" You sighed. His eyes were still uncertain.

Giving him a hug you spoke softly to him. "I'm going to be fine, dad."

He rubs your back soothingly and hugs back. "Yes, I know. But as your father I have the right to be a little worried." He chuckled as you let go.

"Alight, I think she's ready dear." Your mother intrudes while heading into the kitchen to grab something. You gasped in excitement, anticipating for whatever the choices may be.

Your mother came back. In her hands were 4 large stone slabs. She places them in a certain order as you looked over them cautiously.

There was a dog, with the name engraved as "Goku". You looked to the second one.
A cat, with the name "Black" on the stone.
Then the other, a ferret with the name "Bardock." Then lastly, a mouse with the name "Turles."

"Well dear, choose wisely. They are yours once you touch the name on the stone." Your father encourages but it only made you anxious.

You didn't know which to choose.

Smiling, you pressed your fingers on the name "Goku."

"Excellent choice my dear." Your mother says proudly.

"That one? Really? You couldn't have chosen a better familiar? Like the ferret?" Your father whines and you pout at him.  "No, dad. It's my companion so it's my choice. Now stop with your whining you big baby." You snickered as he whines some more, obviously disappointed of your choice.

You focused back on the stone and watched as a bright light took over it. Before your eyes was a black husky. You gasped at how cute it was.

"Your fur! It's so silky and beautiful!" you praised. The dog looked appreciative of your words. Once you knew it, the dog had literally jumped you to the ground and licked all over your face.

'Master! Master! My Master is so cute and pretty!'  A voice goes through your head and you laughed.

Stopping the dog from attacking your face in slobber, you sit up with the support from your parents and stood up tall.

"Hi there." You start off to the animal. The tail of the dog rapidly moves, you noticed the dog was ready to pounce you again. 'Hello Master!'
