Kung sakaling alam mo na ang genre specifications ng gagawin mong story, be sure you have your plot as well, obviously. I wanted to talk about the plot this instant - but my thoughts drifted to one of the most essential things na pinupuna o tinitingnan ko sa isang story, and I guess karamihan ng readers, ganito rin ang ginagawa.
First and foremost, let's say you got through with the title, the plot and other necessary things to start a story, anong approach nga ba ang tama at dapat mong gamitin para MAS maging effective ang storytelling na gagawin mo?
When we say approach, I am referring to the way you tell the story. The way HOW you narrate things. And there are a lot of different KINDS and TYPES of approach. Again, since medyo natagalan ang kasunod na part nito, I would like everyone to please notice that I do not use any external sources to refer things for this guide unless necessary. And if I did use some, I see to it that I provide proper links kung saan ko iyon kinuha kung sakaling kailanganin niyo ng mas malawak na explanation.
As I have said, there are different kinds and types of approach. Let's first tackle kung bakit ko pinaghiwalay yan, eh they are almost similar by their meanings. You don't really have to ponder too much into it, madali lang naman iyan intindihin, I just needed to classify two groups para mas detailed ang pagsasalaysay ko.
Kinds of Approach. Anong uri ng pagsasalaysay ang gagamitin mo? Anong mood? Kaya isinunod ko ito sa choosing your own genre para mas malinawan kayo kung ano ang mas angkop na mood sa gagawin niyong story. If your story goes for a romance/general fiction story which is most common among romance stories, PLEASE, I encourage everyone to stand your choices of the PRIMARY genres. All stories could fall upon different genres, pero kaya nga may primary, ibig sabihin, the kind of story and the approach of the story SHOULD agree with the genre specifications. Kung romance and general fiction story yan, I highly suggest that you take a SERIOUS or LIGHT mood into the narration. Kung lalagyan mo iyan ng humor, make sure it would be minimized o nasa tamang lebel lang, dahil kung ang narration mo ay informal and 'diary-style approach', hindi yan tatama sa general fiction. Humor na iyan.
What are the different kinds of approach na tinutukoy ko by the way?
Professional Narration. Ang mga storya na pumapatak sa ganitong klaseng approach ay iyong mga seryoso ang mood, maybe a little light but not too laughable - there could be a pinch of humor but make sure that you say it in a natural and professional way. Paano ito ginagawa? Let's say there's a scene that requires a character to LAUGH. Please be reminded tungkol dito dahil ito ang madalas kong mapansin sa stories. When we say professional narration, hindi mo yan gagamitan ng 'haha' quotations or lines ng tauhan sa istorya to tell everyone that the character laughed. More likely, i-nanarrate mo lang ang ginawa ng character. AND PLEASE NEVER - AND SERIOUSLY, NEVER USE EMOTICONS AFTER THE ACT. Want an example? Let's use an excerpt from one of the stories I read and admire that uses this kind of narration in a third person's point of view. [We will tackle about Point of View later]. Remember, we are talking about a professional narration approach AND how to properly describe a 'laughing session' using this mood.

Chanty felt Pete's finger poking at her spine. She almost fell over Zach at her friend's last attempt and she sighed. "Zach, meet Pete, our design manager. Pete, meet Zachary Astor."
Before anyone could say a word, Pete brushed Chanty to the side and held out his hand. She was about to open her mouth but Liam caught her by the shoulders to stop her. A naughty grin was pasted on his face. "Let him."
The innocent Zach took Pete's hand and shook it. When the moment that the two of them should stop, Zach's smiling face slowly frowned. He tried to take his and away from Pete, but the guy would not let go.
