THE UNEXPECTED : Chapter 4 – The Deal

I forced my eyes shut, and tried to make my mind go blank. No! Please brain. Do not wake up now. I need to finish my dream!

You know that feeling when you wake up before your dream’s finished? Good. I know you do. I was having that moment before, and I was wondering… Why do we always wake up when the dream gets into the fun part? Urgh.

So, in my case, Mark was about to kiss me, but I woke up before it happens. I know, irritating. I mean, I never kissed him, so I would like it if I could devour him even in my dreams, but the god of leprechauns didn’t approve it. Oh well.

I closed my eyes, trying to remember the dream I was dreaming, and mentally singing lullaby to myself, hoping that I would go back to sleep, and continue the dream. Do you ever try to make yourself fall asleep again? It’s hard, isn’t it? No matter how much you tried, you’ll always end up waking up, without being able to continue the dream. Being the stubborn child I am, I squeezed my eyes, but I instead of continuing the dream, I saw some fireworks forming. Blue, green, red, purple, and yellow. It was changing forms from fireworks, to rectangles, circles, and so on. Hmph, I was enjoying it.

Groaning in frustration, I rolled over the bed with my eyes still shut, and I fell on my floor with a thud.

I opened one of my eyes, and moaning like a retarded whale. Feeling so lazy to get my bum off the floor, I just lay there, doing nothing but staring at the ceiling. After a few minutes, I was bored, but too lazy to get up.

Aha! An idea suddenly formed in my head. After all these years my brother was useless, now I found out that he could come in handy. “Caleb!” I shouted his name, but I didn’t get any replies. And as you all know that I was a stubborn crazy girl, I called him over and over again, with different kind of tones.

Suddenly, my door was slammed open, revealing ‘The Man’. He was wearing nothing but his boxers, and his hair was sticking out to Mercury and Neptune. He looked annoyed, and sleepy. I felt guilty for a while, but he was always been the sleepyhead, so who cares about this man?

“What do you want?” he asked me with annoyed tone, just as expected. I grinned sheepishly; I knew he would explode if I told him why I wanted him here. But, I told him anyway; he couldn’t do worse than fed me to the whales. “Help me up,” I demanded him, trying my best demanding voice, and extending my both hands up.

Just as I finished saying that, his jaw dropped on the beige tiled floor. His eyes shone something that said, ‘unbelievable’.

“What the fuck, man? You made me resurrect from my temporary death, walk through my mortal enemy, the stairs, just to help you up?” he asked me with wide eyes, as if what I did to him was a crime. I rolled my eyes, “You’re such a drama queen,” I stated, pulling my hands back down and crossed them in front of my chest.

“Well can’t you help yourself up, you lazy bum!” he grunted, irritated, then he left. Well, well. What a wonderful sister I was? Finally, I decided to help myself up, and sat on my pink-sheeted bed. I guess my brother was really useless. I stared my bed, feeling bored.

Just now I realized that there were soft purple swirls on it. Why did I never realized it before? Instantly, the patterns on my bed became interesting. There were yellow flowers too! I mean, I had never paid attention to it, and finding some patterns you've never know has always been interesting.

I go ooh ohh, you go ah, ah. La la la la, ah la la la

I was stunned for a while and looked for my phone, which was under my pillow. I pressed the answer button without looking who was calling me. Heck, it was only seven in the morning and who was this shit calling me?
