Park Sohee POV

I felt my body getting warmer and brightness against my face as if I was sunbathing. The sun must be shining brightly today.

I rolled on my bed, snuggling on my pillow. The birds chirping could be heard from a long distance, and I knew it was already morning. But, instead of getting up, I was lazily lying on the soft mattress, my eyes closed.

Soon, I drifted into sleep.

"Wake up, princess."

I jolted up and opened my eyes. I felt my pulse in my head as I sat straight after waking up from a deep slumber with a shout and slap on my butt from my mother.

"Come downstairs quickly, or otherwise, you will be late on your first day." Mother gave me a light kiss on the top of my head and left the room before I could process what was happening.

I looked around the room, and the realization hit me like a train.

I came back to Korea.

I am home.

I have to go to school. It's my first day!

I rolled off the bed, and no wonder I heard a cracking sound when I got up. I must be getting old.

Caressing my back, I stepped into the walk-in closet and heaved a sigh. Like mother said, the pressed uniform was hung neatly with a cover over it. I quickly took it and a towel and ran to the bathroom.

I did my morning routine and wore my uniform. I braided my hair and applied simple makeup on my face. I wouldn't say I like heavy makeup. Spraying my favorite perfume, I inhaled the fresh smell, humming slightly.

A gasp escaped from my mouth when my eyes landed on the wall clock.

"It's 8:05 am already? The school will start at 8:30 am. Oh, shoot!"

I mumbled to myself and took my backpack, and sprung downstairs. When I walked into the dining room, I saw everyone having breakfast except my stepbrother.

I guess he didn't come home yet.

I thought, frowning my eyebrows.

They noticed my presence and turned to me with a smile.

"Good morning." Mother and father said in unison, smiling at me.

"Morning."

"Good morning, sleepyhead," Jinyoung said, smiling cheekily.

"Good morning, Oppa!"

I kissed their cheeks and grabbed an apple. I took a huge bite and tapped my feet on the floor, looking down at my wristwatch.
