Minhyun
"So, you came here late because you had to go to the guidance counsellor and detention because you punched a boy?"
"No, no, a girl who looked like a boy. And that's not all, I'm in cleaning duty for the week as a punishment. It's a relief they didn't bring up telling this to my parent."
I continuously nodded, being interested in what happened to Jihye. She was continously telling me about her day since she arrived. I didn't even ask and kept on making her stop but she nagged me to listen.
"What exactly happened?" I put my elbow on the metal counter and opened my palm to catch my chin.
"You remember when Woojin Oppa and Jihoon was being sweet and all at lunch?"
I just hummed as a response.
"Well, she wasn't one of their fangirls, she was kind of a hater actually. She saw them and decided to insult me. Hmm, I've been using the word 'insult' real often today. Anyway, back to the story, she kept saying that Woojin was gay--"
She was cut off when I choked on my saliva. I fake-coughed, "Go on."
"--to get on my nerves. I wasn't really in a good mood that time and managed to talk back at her, making her lose her temper. She then insulted my parents and that's when I got angry. And so... I punched her." She smiled proudly, making her dimples show.
"Ahh, okay. I did not even expect you to... uh, punch her. I mean, you look too feminine and uhh.. yeah to do such a violent thing."
"Yah, don't you ever underestimate me." She stated, flipping the patty, "Be nice or I won't give you your order."
"Andwae."
"But Minhyun,"
"Hmm?"
"Please don't tell this to Woojin Oppa, hmm?"
"Eo. Why though?"
I looked at her, waiting for an answer but she didn't.
"It's okay if you won't answer, I understand." I gave her a reassuring smile which she gave back. Hers was a bit down. There's something bothering her, I can tell.
"Back to the question I asked you earlier. Can you be my friend? Ani, Be my friend."
"You don't have to ask." I replied.
"But it is necessary. You're so cold, you know. I'd like to know you better. You're, interesting."
"Interesting?" Was that a compliment or what? "I'm more used to being called "boring", don't you think?" Please say no.
"Well... a li-ttle?"
How embarrassing.
"You always talk about cleaning. When you aren't talking about that, you're just quiet."
"And yet you find me interesting?"
"It's just, something's telling me to befriend you."
"Did the devil on your shoulder tell you that?"
"I guess you can say that. It's telling me you aren't just cold and boring."
I laughed at her unexpected reply, "Arasseo, you didn't have to ask in the first place though. Anyway, I really can't believe that you punched someone. You know, with that innocent vibe and small frame of yours."
"Small frame? So that's a less insulting term of "short height"." she giggled. I smiled back at her as a response.
"Eo, you are short."
"Alright, alright, I get it." She crossed her arms, "I've been wondering, why are you here instead of being with the guys?"
"I'm tired of cleaning their mess everywhere we go." I explained.
I heard her laugh and said, "So you aren't going to meet them forever?"
"Aniya, I'm just considering this as a break, from being their maid."
"What the fudge, HAHAHA!"
"Yah, watch your saliva!"
"Ne, Ne. You're so sensitive, Minhyun."
"Mweo? "Minhyun"? That's Oppa for you, I'm older."
She stopped whatever she was doing at looked at me with surprised eyes, "No! It's making me cringe!"
"Hm? You call Woojin, Oppa, though."
"That's because he's my brother after all."
"Then I can also be a brother to you,"
I just became a friend of hers a while ago, and now I'm her brother.
"Why... all of a sudden... you," She obviously struggled to say the right words.
"Where's my order?"
"It's almost finished, it's not like I ate it, Geez... Oppa."
"What?"
"What! You told me to call you that." She looked away, obviously feeling embarassed. I chuckled at her silliness, "Say that again."
"No way."
"You need to get used to it. I won't buy here anymore if you won't say it."
"Oppa." She said in a second.
"Mweo? It was too low, I didn't properly hear you."
"Wait," I interrupted when she was about to say it again, "Change your intonation in the end and make it sound sweet."
"Mweoya, Why am I doing all this just for your presence?"
"Because I am your only customer. You won't have income if it isn't for me."
"Aish! Whatever, I ain't doing it."
I stood up from my seat, startling her. I went closer to her face, staring straight into her eyes, "Say it."
Her face scrunched up and her brow raised. I was still staring at her when I felt her hand on my face pushing me away, "Yah, you don't have to do this." And she isn't even flustered? Is she a girl?
I heard her clear her throat and the said, "Oppa, Oppa, Oppa. There, satisfied?" She slammed her hands on either sides of the counter, "Aish, you're making my mood worsen." She mumbled.
I chuckled at her reaction, "Eommeo, Cheonmaneyo (you're welcome)~" I formally said and bowed with my hand on my chest.
I sat down and took the burger she was handing over, "Kamsahamnida, Noona (older girl)~"
"Mweoya! Now you're teasing me."
"Oh, did I offend you, Ahjumma (old lady)?"
"Yah, Hwang Minhyun. You're making my head ache, aish." She caressed her head gave me an irritated look.
I just chuckled and took a bite from the burger. What she didn't know is I recorded her when she said "Oppa" thrice. I'll use it properly for blackmailing purposes.

"Good enough for blackmaling." Eunsok smirked, an evil one. She was now sitting on one of the benches at the park. She continued to look at the picture she took. It was a picture of Hwang Minhyun and Park Jihye that looked like they were kissing because of the angle.
"Be patient, Park Jihye. Revenge is coming for you."
