Chapter 3• Whats Your Emergency?

Momo walks into the room to find her worse nightmare and in that moment she had no other words than the names of her most loved ones,  the loved ones that risked it all for them.

Momo screams "MOM DAD!!"

Suddenly she feels her heart break a little and everything around her stops. She takes a minute to process what is happening in front of her. Her father resting himself up against the wall with her mother leaning over him with absolute pain in her eyes and tears running from them. Momo comes back to reality and breaks from feeling numb. She runs to her parents tripping a little on the way catching her foot on the bed, forcing her to look back. Though she was turning round to untangle herself she became even more tangled in the situation. Seeing the devastation on her sisters small round face and her body slowly falling to her knees not knowing how to handle to situation in front of her. Momo felt great regret and pain in her chest, it was the pain that you would feel when you look or hear something that completely and entirely destroys you inside, but she can't fix it now and she can only do as much as her body lets her. Ji Woo just stares watching Momo and her mother trying to help your father, trying to stop the blood. The girls mother was trying her best but she felt great pain from her stomach, she prayed millions of times that night hoping for her baby to be okay. Ji Woo starts to panic and try's to remember something that could help but of course she's still a young girl. She looks down trying to think of something closing her eyes breathing loud as if her lungs were suffocating. She remembers suddenly her fathers words and slowly whispers to her self his exact words. Realising what she could do to help that little bit she runs to find a phone.

She dials 999 only hoping that was the right number. She is then met with a woman's voice which said, "hello, what is your emergency" freezing a little she stutters back to the woman "my D-daddy i-is hurt and there is B-blood". The emergency services explain to Ji Woo they will try their best to help her father and asks her a few questions about her and her surroundings. Ji Woo try's her best to answer giving the situation she's in. Doing as asked she gives Momo the phone and Ji Woo listens and here's someone at the door banging to get inside. Momo looks at Ji Woo realising she is clearly taking it the wrong way. Ji Woo starts screaming and runs to the room door pushing it refusing to open it. Of course she did, she was scared. Momo picked her up and ran to open the door downstairs and returned back with six other people. Ji Woo stands there watching everyone, observing in front of her but not really thinking straight. She turns over to Momo and sees her sliding down the wall, not crying, instead looking defeated and as if she wasn't in her body but somewhere else in her confused mind. Ji Woo lets out a tear and sits with her.

{TWO WEEKS LATER}

No one ever spoke about that night at all. It was treated like it never happened but it still haunted everyone and it was noticeable. Ji Woo's mom lost her baby and became extremely unhappy and was later diagnosed with depression and anxiety. Thankfully their father was healing well and could walk but Ji Woo couldn't play with him anymore, his body ached to much. Ji Woo became very much alone, her mother didn't talk or move for five days because of the empty spot in her stomach. Ji Woo promised herself she wouldn't let her get lonely so she slept with her mother at night, not understanding the situation fully herself. Now the innocent sweet child had grown up at the age of five, she truly knew heartbreak and her innocence was no where to be seen.

A few,long, days later Ji Woo was sent to school and Momo had to stay home to help look after her parents. Ji Woo started to believe everything was going well and everyone was starting to get better, but that short time ended when she came home from school one day to find ambulances and police, inside and outside of your house. Her mind went blank completely only remembering the experience and feelings she felt that night, that night that will haunt her forever. She felt great sadness everything became a blur. The young girl ran to the house and met with the living room where someone grabbed her wrists. She looks round in horror until she sees its her sister. Momo was crying and simply, without saying anything, dropped to her knees and hugged Ji Woo. She broke the hug looking into Ji Woo's eyes and Ji Woo looking back. "Where's mummy and daddy?" Ji Woo asked a little scared of the answer. There was a long pause and Momo just stared into her eyes. Momo stood up and walked Ji Woo to her fathers office.

Ji Woo was so happy and relieved to see her father there and she ran to hug him. He hugged her back with sobs quietly coming from him. Ji Woo looks at him and asks to see her mother. Her father looks at her with fear and sadness in his eyes. Breaking the quietness a police officer comes in.

He takes off his hat and words leave his mouth, the words that no one wanted to hear. "I'm really sorry Mr Kim, your wife didn't make it". The police officers head dropped looking at the ground and the room was filled with cry's and screams. Ji Woo wasn't aware of what was happening around her and asks her father where her mother was again. He reply's to her "sweetie, your mother is in a happy place now, she's in heaven, now she can look after your baby sister or brother...". Ji Woo looks at him confused but soon realises the meaning of his words.
