Crestedstar padded through the lush forest on a new-leaf night, the selected cats from her clan trailing behind her. She felt nervous, her chest was rising a falling as it should be but there was a tightness there that she couldn't explain. She let out a loud sigh as she looked up at the black sky, the stars sparkling without a care in the world. 'Starclan help me.' She thought, stopping herself in front of the thick bushes that separated her clan and the gathering. "ShadowClan and WindClan are already here, that leaves RiverClan to join the gathering. Once they arrive I want you all to came back to our respected space and wait for the gathering to start." She meowed sharply, her tone not one to argue with her. She saw her clanmates nod their heads and she pushed herself into the clearing, her head lifted high as she padded toward the leaders rock. Her whiskers twitched as multiple smells jumped at her at once. The pine smell wafting around the clearing from ShadowClan and the light smell of grass stalks from Windclan. Her gaze narrowed as she made her way up the rock, her claws scratched against the rough stone. "I would appreciate it if you sheathed your claws at a time like this Crestedstar." She heard someone speak, her gaze lifting to the startling yellow eyes of the WindClan leader. Her tone was soft yet cold and her gaze was narrowed as she gazed at the ThunderClan. Crestedstar felt herself gulp as she sheathed her white claws, coming to sit between the two leaders. "No need to be afraid Viperstar. I wouldn't cause any harm." She said softly, averting her gaze away as she felt her ear tips heat up. She felt Viperstar stand and reach her muzzle to her ear, her short black fur sleek in the moonlight. "I know you wouldn't hurt a fly." She whispered, before settling back down on the stone floor as she looked around the conversing cats. The orange and white she-cat felt a shiver go up her spine as she felt the distant between them grow, holding her breath to see if anyone had spotted the leaders. She couldn't see any eyes toward them but stiffened as she glanced toward the over hanging leaf the medicine cats sat under. She spotted the RiverClan medicine cat, Willowwish staring at them with deep blue eyes, her gaze intense as she shifted toward the ThunderClan leader. They broke away eye contact as RiverClan padded into the clearing, the mood immediately broken. All of their fur was slightly ruffled and Goosestar had startled orange eyes. "A fox had attacked us on the way here. No one got hurt but we chased it off, some of my warriors had went after it and are heading back to my camp as we speak." He said loudly enough for everyone to hear, gasps popping up here and there as others express their shock. "Well we are glad you made it here safely. Let the gathering begin." Umberstar spoke up, his deep voice well heard as the Riverclan leader made his way up to the rock. The leaders all took seats at the edge of the rock, the clan cats gazing up at them. Crestedstar looked toward her clan and noticed that all of them had followed her order, warmth flowing into her pelt. "Windclan will start. Everything has been going good, we just got a batch of kits in the nursery. Splinterfur and Primrosestreak are the parents and they couldn't be happier." Viperstar announced, watching eyes flicker toward the dull brown tom at the base of the rock. The deputy lifted his head as he heard murmurs of congratulations. "Thunderclan will go next. Prey is plentiful in our forest and I had just appointed two new apprentices, Mulchpaw and Smokepaw." She announced proudly, her green gaze turning toward the two new apprentices. Shouts filled the air as everyone called out their names, making her feel fuzzy. "You should meet me here once your clan is asleep." She heard, the voice close enough to her ear so she could hear above the shouts. She turned her gaze toward the WindClan leader and looked at her yellow eyes, her depths deep and unwavering.
