9. Better off as Best Friends

"Hey Innie-hyung can I stay over tonight? all of my hyungs are gonna be out tonight." Jisung asked as he held on to JeongIn's arm.

They were both currently sitting in JeongIn's living room watching How To Get Away With Murder while taking notes as Jisung claimed it could be "useful information in the future"

JeongIn finally responded to Jisung by saying that he could in fact sleep over once again.

Both of them forgetting that whenever they had a sleepover something was bound to break or be set on fire. Sometimes they would even end up in the hospital but that's a story for another time.

Either way whenever they were  together they would always cause mischief. In order to entertain themselves they decided to play a game.

"Okay we'll play a game and than cuddle while watching a movie before going to sleep. What do you think?" Jisung asked to make sure it was a good plan for the rest of the day.

"I think thats a great idea Ji" JeongIn responded while becoming  a bit flustered at the others idea.

JeongIn has  always been very close to Jisung ever since they were little kids the two went way back and have always had a  crush on one another.

However those crushes were never big enough for them to take action upon them. They both liked eachother.yes.

But their hearts belonged to other people. Those people being Zhong Chenle and Hwang Hyunjin.

Although skin-ship was a common thing between both males they both thought  about it in a platonic way. They would do things couples would be seen doing  but they weren't actually together.

JeongIn likes HyunJin meanwhile Jisung liked who he referred to as  "his very cute chinese bestfriend"

JeongIn went into the kitchen to grab a few snacks for them as Jisung was already complaining he was hungry.

JeongIn's arms were filled with snacks and a container of heated up pork belly and rice. While Jisung just watched him with an amused smile as JeongIn tried to reach for bag of Doritos and sour patch kids.

(okay so my ass just found out that chicharrones and pork belly are the same thing damn I feel so stupid)

He was balancing everything on one arm and reaching to try and grab said things  from the highest shelf but his height put him at a disadvantage.

As his struggle for reaching the snacks he wanted continued he felt a firm chest touching his back. When he decided to turn around he sees Jisung holding the snacks he wanted with a cheeky smile.

He couldn't help but bite back a stupid grin at Jisung's gesture also because he found his smile very cute.

Once again they are not in love with each other. They are simply very close friends that are attracted to each other. Which is what led them to both to start leaning in

They were both hesitant on if whether or not they should kiss. But at that moment it is what both of them wanted. With that said they closed the gap and shared a soft and quick kiss.

Even though said kiss only lasted a few seconds it was very meaningful to the both of them. Meaningful in the way that they felt nothing. They really didn't love each other. Both have confirmed that thought just now with that kiss.

They felt no sparks.

That kiss made them realize that they are better of as friends. Best friends. As their hearts already belonged to other people that they feared would not love them back.

But at that moment they didn't know that one of them did love him back. And well the other was still figuring it all out and had the thought of one of them at all times.

Once they pulled away they gave each other soft smiles. Which then turned into chuckles. Which then turned into full out laughter and them gasping for air.

They both shared the same thoughts. They knew they did without even having to tell one another.

After their fit of laughter was over with they gave each other a quick hug before picking up all the snacks and going back upstairs to continue analyzing and taking notes of the "useful tips they gave out in How To Get Away With Murder.

The rest of the night was spent with soft banter,binge watching shows and playing video games.

They then decided it was a good idea to spill their "deep and darkest" secrets at 1 am in the morning.

JeongIn had confessed that he liked HyunJin meanwhile Jisung confessed that he like Chenle.

Only JeongIn seemed surprised while Jisung said "we been knew" when JeongIn said who he liked.

Both boys spent the rest of the night planning on how Jisung would confess to Chenle the next day.

Jisung was absolutely terrified of ruining his friendship with Chenle by getting rejected. But for some reason he decided at 3 am that he would take that risk.

Because In the you never know. It could be the start of a very beautiful relationship.

While planning Jisung couldn't help but think about

How to show him he loves him

After several hours of planning both boys finally decided to call it a night.

Jisung worrying about the worst outcome while still holding on to the possibility of everything working out and Chenle loving him back.
