Jeez, a kid?! I ran toward the car, the girl moved back in fear, I prompted her that all would be fine, she just had to open the door, and we would set off to find her mother.
"Mum, she ran off said the girl, a guy, he ran after her, and I heard a bang, and he came back, and, and I was scared, so I hid under the car seats, and the man he dragged my Daddy out of the day and he shot him and you came back with him, and you trikes to save him, but you didn't but you saved me."
No, I'm just a normal guy in a unusual world, I'm just being human.
"Hey, what's your name?" I asked, trying to be as nice as I could, we needed to get out of here, if they are attracted to sound then we gotta go.
"Stacey, my Mum calls me Stace. We were going to the Mall to get a dress. But then Daddy saw a taxi veer off the road, so he went to see if he was ok, but then this happened."
The oddly familiar groan caught my attention, as I swung around, armed as ever there was nothing there, but I looked down to see the reanimated body of that deeply disturbed man crawling its way towards me. Fear took over and I blasted one right through his dome.
"Wait, he had no bites?!"
And just like it was set up out of nowhere, a pack of walkers, about 20 appeared from the undergrowth. Like instinct I rushed towards the little girl and snatched her up. We need to get the fuck outta here NOW!!
We emerged from the brush to find an old suburban street, to which I ran down, it wasn't long before the inevitable happend, a walker who was leg less snagged my leg, tripping me over, leaving me dazed and Stacey unconscious. I turned to see the monster edging closer and closer. I pulled out my pistol and aimed, and finally pulled the tricker to find the horrific * click*.
"Shit! I'm empty."
I looked beyond the walker to find a hoarde, maybe 100? In my last feeble attempts I screamed!
"HEEELLLL...."
A hand muffled me, and as quick as lighting a hooded figure pulled out a machete and swiftly diced the walker closest to me. He looked at me, and signalled for me to run, so I picked Stacey up, bridal style, and ran, desperate to keep up with the man, we ran into a alleyway, and all of us ran up a fire escape, to which the hooded figure pulled up as soon as we were all up.
"We're safe" He says, and he takes off his hood.
In fact, it isn't a he at all.
And by all unbelievable coincidence, it is my girlfriend.
