Today will be the day I finally sign his contract.
Or maybe I will deny him his rights.
I have known since the first day I meet him, my fate was set.
I knew my body would betray me more than my mind.
There was an instant attraction there.
It was dangerous but I didn’t care.
Now that I am riding this elevator up to meet him, I shake.
Thrilled at the feelings I have deep inside for him.
I don’t mind that he doesn’t feel like I do.
I would take any kind of attention he would give me.
So as I stand here outside this massive door, I can’t breathe.
I knock softly once,
Then twice,
And finally a third time.
You can hear him call out to come in.
I enter and close the door behind me, my insides melt at just being able to see him.
He stares at me with closed off eyes.
Surely he can feel the fear rolling off of me,
But I won’t let him intimidate me.
I walk to his desk and sit down.
He stares until he finally states,
“Let’s get down to business Miss Reed.”
All I do is nod,
I always knew since the first time I met him,
My fate was set.
