Chapter 11

Bricks
(still at the mall)

"Where to now?" I asked, being that we had been in damn near every store.

"Food court, I'm starving." Ari said.
"Me too!" Jace spoke up.
"Me three." I said, as we headed to the food court.

"What y'all want?" I asked.
"Chic Fil A." Ari said and I nodded.
"Thats cool with you babygirl?" I asked Jace and she nodded.

"Chic Fil A it is then.. that was easy." I said as we stood in the line.

  After a few minutes I had ordered the food, and the food came out quicker than expected.

  "We eating here or at the crib?" I asked.

"We can eat here that's fine" Ari replied and ai nodded.

"Bricks?" I heard a familiar voice say as I ran a hand down my face and turned around seeing exactly who I thought it was.

"So this why you ain't been returning my calls?" Starr asked.

"Daddy who this woman?" Jace asked.

"Same thing i'm wondering baby." Ari cut in.

"Yo what you want?" I asked getting irritated.

  "Just wondering why you haven't returned my calls Bricks, I thought we had an understanding. But I see you on some family shit all of a sudden." Starr said, looking Ari up and down. "Who are you?" She asked Ari.

  "Who are you, bitch? I'm obviously somebody if we're together." Ari said stepping toward Starr and I grabbed her.

  "Girl whatever you ain't nobody. He only trynna fuck then as soon as he do, he leaving." Starr said.

   "That must be what he did to you? Jokes on you tho, we fucked already, does it look like he's leaving me?" Ari asked and Starr's expression changed to anger.

  "You seem to look a lil different all of a sudden, go eat a snickers sis." Ari said, before turning around, snatching the Chic Fil A bag out of my hand, and walking away. "C'mon Jace." She said.

  "She already beat my babymama ass today, your best bet is to just shutup and go." I said to Starr.

  "So you got a girlfriend now?" She asked.

"Yep. That mean don't approach me in public no more like you fucking crazy. I already blocked your number what else I need to do kill you?" I asked and her expression changed to horror.

  "Enjoy your day." I said, pushing past her and walking over to the table sitting down.

"You good?" I asked Ari and she looked up at me and then back down at her phone.

  I hate when Ari is mad at me, but at the same time I can't help who is in a public mall and who approaches me. It's not like I knew she would come over there saying all that shit.

  I decided to wait til later to have the conversation, because we were in public and because Jace is here.

  Once we were finished eating, I grabbed the shopping bags and we headed out of the mall back to the car.

  Once I put all of the bags in the trunk, I got in and pulled off.

   "Where to?" I asked.

"Take me home." Ari said, and I looked over at her as she continued looking straight ahead.

  "What you wanna go home for?" I asked.

"Cause it's my home and I wanna go so take me home." She replied.
