Caught in a Lie

Super top secret pt 2

Namjoon's phone started to ring. He looked up at the others through the tops of his eyes once before standing up.
"What is it?" Suga looked up from his phone when Namjoon stood. If he answered the phone around the boys, they would instantly figure it out. He would have to play it cool if he wanted to surprise the boys.
"It's an old friend of mine. I'll be right back."
The boys look at each other confused. Namjoon doesn't usually leave the room unless the call was important. Seokjin shook his head.
"What ever it is, I'm sure everything is alright. Besides, it might be too early to find what this new project is. We might have to wait for-"
"She's live!" Jimin cheered, having just received the notification from Youtube. Seokjin sighed through his nose at the interruption but given it was about a favored idol of theirs he let it slide. Each member turned to their YouTube apps to watch the Live.
Hernandez had her phone camera turned to her face. She seemed a little out of breath but she had one of the brightest grins on her face. Behind her in the background was one of her backup dancers.
"What is up my sweet peas? It is good to hear from you guys. Especially after hearing that I'm involved in a super top secret project. The only bad thing is..."
The boys held their breath in anticipation.
"Well..I have no clue as to what it is?"
Eyebrows ferried in confusion. How could she not know what it is? Was she bluffing? Could it be that she was playing a trick? Was she teasing the audience? Truthfully she's done it before but this was being mean.
"Now I know how confusing this may be but for me, this isn't the first time I was surprised with something. So I'm curious but kinda worried."
The camera and Hernandez took a slight turn. The team must have been waiting for her ride. Her eyes left the screen for a moment as everyone piled in and someone took over holding the camera for Hernandez.
"What do you think it is, boss?"
That was her common nickname amongst her team. Hernandez claims it's from an inside joke between her and two of the members  she used to work with a while back. She seemed to have a knack for being a leader; even then. Though, of course, it changes from boss to boss lady to even la jefa. Elizabeth really liked the latter and would even put a Spanish accent on to add to the effect.
Hernandez grinned.
"I have absolutely no clue, kiddo. But whatever it is, Shoshanna  has to know about it."
There's a cheerful giggle behind the camera.
"You know, whatever it is-" Another member by the name of Nickolas pips in. "-She knows you'd be okay with it. So I wouldn't be too worried boss."
"She's quite evil though." Hernandez jokes, turning her attention to the Canadian female in front of her on the phone. She wasn't listening at all to the conversation behind her so the voice holding the camera proceeds to continue the joke.
"I dunno, boss. You're quite evil and mean yourself."
"Wha-," Hernandez spins her head around to the camera. "Don't chu tell my lovely fans such lies!"
The boys laugh at the antics as Yoongi gets up to check on Namjoon. Something in his gut told him to check but it didn't seem like worry which is what felt off. That's when Namjoon was on his way back with a grin on his face and speaking in English.
"Perfect! I'm glad to hear that! Like I said you can reach me anytime here but I look forward to it! You guys be careful and eat well. Okay?"
The camera turned back to Elizabeth in the live feed, Yoongi realizing at some point they brought the conversation back to her and that's when he heard it.
"Of course, of course! You boys be careful too and eat well. I'll probably message you later at some point. Bye, bye!"
