Chapter 7

I woke up in the morning with a smile (as always). I took a bath and put on my clothes. I rushed downstairs to eat my breakfast. Mmm. Bacon with fried garlic rice and sunny-side up. After that, I brushed my teeth and fixed my hair.

"Bye mom," I said, hugging her.

"Be safe," she said to me.

"Bye dad," I said as I walked up to him to give him a kiss on the cheek. I pushed the door open. I went to Kyle's house and fortunately, he was just going out.

"Let's go," I uttered. "We don't want to get late."

We walked together at the sidewalk, going to school. We went to our lockers to put away our stuff.

"What's your first class?" I asked him as I closed the locked behind me.

He wrinkled his nose. "Math, my worst subject," he finally said.

"Well I got Music class next. I guess I'll catch with you later," I called.

We parted ways. I was in the classroom, five minutes before the time. And guess what? I was not alone. There were three girls who arrived earlier than me. The first girl that I saw has pale skin, curly red hair with a flower headband. The other one has a yellow bracelet on her wrist. The last girl has a quiver of arrows hung over one shoulder.

I walked up to them. "Hello there!" I greeted them.

"Hi," they chorused.

"I think you're name is Thea, right?" the girl with the quiver of arrows asked. I simply nodded.

"I'm Iris. This one is Persephone and she is Artemis," Iris said while pointing to one of them.

I grinned. "Nice meeting you."

"You too," said Persephone. "Do you love music? Because I do."

"Me too," said Artemis.

"Me three," continued Iris.

I smiled with glee. "Yes, yes I do."

The bell rang for the first period. We quickly took our seats. The teacher is discussing about how the word "music" came to be. At the end of the period, he told us to bring an instrument to play on the next meeting.

~Time Skip~

It was lunchtime. I sat down on my usual table I sat with my friends just yesterday. I am very quiet. I was just thinking about that special someone if we could be best friends. And honestly, I haven't eaten just yet.

"Right, Thea?" Pandora snapped out my thoughts. I just raised an eyebrow.

"Told you she's not listening," I heard Medusa mumble. Then she whispered something to Nikki's ear. I leaned closer to listen what she is saying to her.

"So, when's your birthday?" Pandora asked in the blue.

I went back to my seat. "On September 2. Few months from now," I answered.

"Oh," they all chorused.

"Are you planning to do something on my birthday?" I asked them. They exchanged looks.

"Um, no. Not really," Pheme blurted out.

The bell rang. We gathered our trays and go to our classes.
