I walked home with Kyle.We made a deal that we will make our homework together at his treehouse. My parents accpeted it as long as I don't miss dinner. And I realized that we are so close to each other. Hmm. Maybe we could be best friends, right? I hope so.
"So Thea, when is your birthday?" he asked me.
"Oh, um, on September two. Why?" I replied.
"Just asking," he said. I rolled my eyes slightly. I could sometimes be a bit snobbish. But that's sometimes.
I was already done with my homework. I stood up and picked my stuff. "I'm done," I told him. "I'll just put this on my desk. I'll be right back."
He also stood up and took my wrist. "Wait. I'll come with you," he said. "I haven't seen your room yet."
I just stared at him in shock. Seriously? I thought. "Uh, sure," I finally said.
He followed me to my room. His jaws dropped. "Why? What's wrong?" I asked him.
"I miss something here," he told me.
"Of what?"
"Your room."
"What about it?"
He sighed and told me to sit down and he told me a very long story about his very close friend of his. He told the times that they're hanging out in this very room. And when the time he left last spring break, he said that he will sure miss him but they will also talk over the phone or somewhere else.
After Kyle left my room, I went downstairs to dine dinner with my parents and they said that my dad will be out for a week. When supper ended, I took a shower and went to bed.
