Chapter 7:Formals~

I jolted up, awaken by the loud thunder that echoed in my room. I looked around me realizing that I had fallen asleep on my computer table. There is a blanket wrapped around me, I stood up and walked towards the window. It was raining outside, which was no longer a surprise for me. It was already 8:30 in the morning and I have only 30 to prepare in school. I placed the blanket on my bed and went to the bathroom. After a shower, I grabbed my most comfortable shirt that I have. Girls at school wouldn’t dare to wear the kinds of clothes I wear, they worried too much about their appearance more than anything in the world. If the end of the world will come, the first thing they grab in their house to survive will be their make-up products.

It took me twenty minutes to finish my morning routine. But I have to skip breakfast because I only have ten minutes before the school bell rings and I still have to drive to school. It’s been raining for a whole week, I love rain but I can’t walk to school when raining so I have to drive to school. As I was grabbing my things on school, I tried to feel Sunny’s presence to see if she’s inside the house but I felt someone else.

“Min Hee” I turned my body around just as I was about to take a step.

“Good Morning” Suzy greeted, standing by the end of the hallway where my room is located. Her long blonde hair and her gorgeous smile was plastered on her face. She’s really like a princess.

“Suzy,” I said, a bit shocked to see her here….in my house at such an early time.

“Are you looking for Sunny?” I asked, she shook her head and start walking towards me.

“No, actually Sunny went out an hour ago. By the way, I hope you don’t mind but I stayed here last night, Sunny said that it was okay so….” She trailed off as a smile beamed on her perfect thin lips.

“It’s alright, I don’t mind. You can stay here for as long as you want.” I told her, she nodded her head and thanked me.

“Uhm..if you don’t mind me asking” she began to say as she twisted a strand of her hair around her finger.

“Are you and Suho a couple?” she asked. I turned around to look at her, wondering why is she asking me this kind of question. Suzy noticed my confused look and suddenly shake her hand as if she was telling me to stop.

“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t asked that question. It’s okay if you don’t want to tell me, sorry.” Suzy said, giving me an apologetic look as she play the end of her perfect blonde hair.

“No,” I began to say.

“Suho and I are not a couple, I mean, I’m a human and he’s a ghost…you know. It’s crazy by just thinking of it.” I continued and chuckled.

“Then you wouldn’t mind if I said that I like Suho more than just a friend..right?” she said, my heart stopped beating. I could barely breathe.

“What I mean is, I really like  Suho more than just a friend. The way he looked at me and the way he smile makes me fell on him.” She said as she clasped her hands, probably daydreaming. Well, she’s right. His eyes and his smile makes the warm feeling on me and I can’t blame Suzy for liking Suho. Then she suddenly look at me.

“I really do like him, Min Hee.” She said in all seriousness. Suzy was still looking at me, waiting for me to say something. But what should I say? I then forced a toothless smile.

“I don’t mind at all. Honestly, you two look good together. Suho is really nice and cool guy.” I said.

“And you don’t really need to ask my permission to like him.” I added, then walked inside the kitchen, grabbing my car keys from the kitchen island where I left it yesterday.

“Anyways, I have school so see you later.” I said then hopped on my car. Suzy wished me a good day and waved a goodbye to me as I start the car. I casually waved back at her as I drove off the garage. The rain continued to pour down hard, mocking my emotions. I was really looking forward into having a great day; finish all my school work, spend my spare time studying for upcoming quiz or exam but right now, I think that all of my plans for today are not going to happen because of Suzy had tell me earlier. I shouldn’t be bothered about this at all, I shouldn’t care if Suzy like Suho and Suho might just like her back. I really shouldn’t care. But why it’s bugging me so much that I can’t even concentrate on my work?

When I arrived at school, there was no sign of people waiting outside the school building, thank God for the rain. I parked my car at my own parking space, I asked Mr. Wong, the school’s principal if I can have my own parking lot by paying ₩1200 for the whole year. I shoved the keys into my bag after locking my car. There was a lot of students waiting at the front link, patiently waiting for the bell rings. As I walk the hallway filled with lockers and posters many people walk passed me greeted me with warm smiles and cheerful greetings, something that I barely receive at morning or at any time. That’s weird, I thought just then I reached my locker. I got my sketch book for I have an art class for the first period. I shoved all of my things in my bag.

“Heading to class Min Hee?” I stopped doing what I am doing and turned around to see Chanyeol but unfortunately it was his friend, Kris.

“Hi.” He greeted with an unusual smile in his face.

“Hey.” I said, continuing to prepare my things for art class. I waited for him to say something but he was just standing there, fiddling around with the strap of his backpack. Lot of people looking at us weirdly, however the majority of girls who are shooting a glare at me was quite overwhelming and annoying. After I got all my things, I shut my locker closed and locked it. Then I face Kris, he looked at me nervously as he open his mouth to say something but the close it.

“What is it?” I asked, coldly.

“Kris, I have to go to my class so if you’re not going to say anything then i’ll be go—“

“Will you please be my date for the Formals next week?”
