"Kaylie, are you busy this weekend?" Daisy asked once she approached me.

"Well, my mother has a dinner date with one of her co-workers. She's meeting his parents and would like for me, Esther and Evan to be present."

"So, your mom really is dating this Shiloh guy, huh?" Daisy asked amused.

"Apparently so." I smiled.

It's only been a few days since I overheard my mom and that dude Shiloh and since I told her I don't care what she does with her dating life.

"So that's a no to a party I got invited to?" Daisy smiled hopefully.

"Well the dinner is on Saturday at 7, when's the party?"

Daisy squealed. "tomorrow night, you can make it!"

I groaned. I was hoping the party was on a Saturday night, not a Friday night. Usually parties on Friday nights only happen because of a football game. Our first football game isn't until next Friday.

"Whose party is it anyway?" I asked grabbing the last things from my locker and began walking to lunch with Daisy.

"Some guy who goes to Forest Hill High." Daisy shrugged. "It's at his parent's lake house. They even have a boat." Daisy added. "Fancy."

"Who is the guy?"

"Trent Withers. Quarterback of Forest Hills football team."

I laughed. "Not that we play Forest Hill next Friday." I pointed out.

"At least the party is before we kick their ass." Daisy winked.

Daisy and I grabbed our lunches before sitting at our usual table overlooking the garden outside. Although the game was a week away, everyone was already preparing for the game, our colors blue and gold decorated everywhere—more than usual.

Not long after, George joined us with his friend Ian from the Lacrosse team. We talked about the party on Friday and George and Ian both said they weren't going. George said it probably wasn't a good idea for Daisy and me to go either, but that began an argument between Daisy and George. Daisy throwing that George isn't our father or protector. It wasn't a serious argument, but a funny one.

"We're going, end of discussion." Daisy said George kept quiet for a second.

"I'm just saying, I don't trust Forest Hill boys." George sighed.

"I don't trust any boys if we're being completely honest here." Daisy said before drinking her water. "Kaylie and I will be fine, George." She added.

"Hey babe." Winston said coming up to the table from behind me.

Winston made Daisy scoot over, and reluctantly she did, not before giving him a glare. He sat in between us and gave me a kiss on the cheek. Winston and I still have not talked about that night where he confessed, he loved me then ran off. We also still haven't talked about him thinking he owns me and becoming over-protective anytime we're in front of George.

"Hi Winston." I smiled lightly. "Anything I can help you with?" I asked, sipping my water.

He gave me a disapproved look as if that wasn't the hello he was looking for. "Just came to see my girlfriend." He said and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. He continued to ignore everyone else at the table.
