Let Me Explain Myself...

Let's analyse the attraction. 5 attractive guys with a sense of style, a sense of humour, and, the origin of their fame, are extremely musically talented, I can see why girls are going crazy. But it's gotten to the stage where the global obsession with them is just plain ridiculous.

They are taking over all the social media sites. All of them. Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr and Twitter.

Especially twitter.

Twitter is usually awesome until I see a message like this:

MY LAST WORDS ARE GONNA BE: I LOVE 1D #TrueDirectioner

MY LIFE'S GOAL IS TO MARRY A MEMBER OF ONE DIRECTION. THEY ARE ALL I EVER THINK ABOUT!!!!!

You get the picture.

And today Zayn deleted his twitter account because of an overwhelming amount of hate from his OWN fans about his girlfriend. So now those same fans are plaguing twitter with messages such as:

TONIGHT IS ABOUT SHOWING HOW MUCH WE LOVE ZAYN MALIK♥#ComeBackZayn

#WeLoveZayn #WeWentToFar

I don't see how tweeting him will get him back...

HE OBVIOUSLY HASN'T GOT TWITTER ANYMORE!

I mean, really. What is that going to achieve? So maybe he see's it via the official 1D page, what then? Your tweets won't change a thing.

If he re-joins twitter, it would lead to speculation that he was just seeking attention.

One girl said that she was crying because he left...He didn't even tweet that much and you're crying for him???

What is wrong with you!!

Beyonce never tweets but I'm not over here weeping about it.

Seriously.

I also see a lot of "I LOVE YOU HARRY!!!" tweets.

Lets be realistic over here, ok? Unless you are over 30 years old, he will not love you, he will not hold you, he will not want you as a girlfriend and he won't sing to you at an abandoned beach house about being beautiful.

Honestly, he'd be more interested in your mum.

Just saying.

Don't deny the truth.

And the amount of radio AirPlay they get is tiring. It's like "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt all over again.

Apparently the entire female population isn't satisfied unless their egos are being inflated by men singing about their exterior qualities every five minutes. But inevitably, just like they did in 2005 with James Blunt's anthem, the population is going to get TIRED.

My sister, who used to be a fan, said that when they entered to perform at the Olympic closing ceremony she walked out because,"I was tired of hearing how beautiful I am."

She's tired. And so am I.

And then there's Wattpad.

My dear Wattpad.

99.99% of the fan-fics written are about them. And they are EVERYWHERE. In people's names, reading lists, club posts, and always on the 'What's Hot List'.

Always.

Personally, I avoid all these because I can't read something so repetitive over and over again without literally dying of boredom. Some of them may be absolutely amazing, but I'm okay with not knowing.

I watched them while they were on the X-Factor two years ago and I have, since then, followed their journey.

But not intentionally.

Watching TV? One Direction. On the internet? One Direction. Surfing YouTube? Sneezing pandas....Jenna Marbles...oh, what's this? Oh yeah! ONE DIRECTION!!

I just think some of you should calm down.

Please.

I am, in no way, saying that they don't deserve to be where they are. They worked hard. They look good. Nice for them. Nice for us.

But, what I'm saying, is that I can't wait for this particular obsession to stop.
