Vail POV

He woke up to a kid yelling, "My arm freaking hurts!" He shot up and went out the door into the liviing room where he'd left the little boy.

He was sitting on the couch with tears in his eyes, clutching at his arm. When he saw Vail, his eyes went wide and he froze.

"W-who a-are y-you?" His stuttering voice came out nervous and shaky. He looked like a little deer that was caught by the big, bad wolf.

Vail sighed and walked over to him and grabbed his sleeve.

"Hey! What are you--" His voice broke off when Vail gently squeezed his arm. The boy held in a whimper as Vail re-wrapped his arm back up. Neither of them said any thing until the other boy suddenly walked out the guest room that he had been staying in.

The hurt boy looked up in surprise and jumped up to embrace him in a hug. They both seemed to remember what happened when they started crying together. They just sat there, sobbing their eyes out together.

When they finally finished their pity-fest, they seemed to have realized that Vail was crouching right there. They hugged each other tighter like they thought he was going to separate them.

Vail had to keep from rolling his eyes at them. They just now realized that he was there? It was kind of slow for them.

He stood up suddenly, and they jumped at the movement. Vail sighed when he saw. This was going to be a long time. Lucien always had to give him the scared ones.

He walked into the kitchen and yelled at them from inside. "Are you coming to eat breakfast or not?!"

They scuttled inside and waited patiently as he made pancakes for them. When the food was placed in front of them, they kind of stared at it like they thought it was poisonous.

Vial sighed again and grabbed a piece of the pancke. He put in his mouth and chewed. "See? It's not bad."

They timidly ate their food silently while Vail sat down across them. he waited until they finished eating until he started asking questions.

"Okay, what do you remember about last night?"

The hurt brother clinged onto his older sibling while he answered him.

"Some of your goons came in and...k-killed mommy and daddy." Afterwards, he glared straight at Vail. He was almost not disappointed. The unhurt boy seemed to be braver than the other one, and he looked not as scared.

"What your name, boy?"

"Harrison."

'And what's your little brother's name?"

"His name is Benji."

Vail slowly nodded his head and said, "Okay, then. Why don't the two of you go to the room where you were just in, Harrison? There's a T.V. in there, or whatever you want."

They both got up and walked slowly out of the room. Vail sighed and rubbed his temples. He always had to be the recuperator, and he always hated doing it. They were almost always like new puppies right after they witnessed something bad, and knowing Lucien, he probably made them watch their parents die.

He was walking out of the kitchen when he heard the doorbell ring. He sighed and went over to open it. Imagine his glee at seeing Steele standing in front of him. What was it? Annoy Vail as much as humanely possible?

"What?" His tone was rude. He didn't want any trouble right now. Especially with the two little boys in the room down the hall.

"Now, Now, is that some way to talk to the man that you owe $10,000 to?" He smirked at him as he leaned against the door frame. Vail scowled fiercely at him before snapping, "I don't owe to you, BLADE owes you."

"You don't know do you?" He chuckled softly.

"Know what?" Vail was suspicious. What was he talking about?

"That Blade set you as the person to pay for his debt."

Vail stared at him with shock. It only took a second before he composed himself and took a deep breath.

"Is that so?" He was so totally going to kill Blade as soon as he comes out of jail. Steele was looking at him smugly, like he knew what he thinking.

"So, that means that you are going to pay off the debt the way I like."

He stepped forward and grabbed his arm. "And the first thing you're going to do is tell me where that bastard Lucien is hiding his puny ass."

He dragged Vail out the doorway before he had time to protest and threw him in his car. Vail looked out the window to see the two little boys watching him through the window with wide eyes. He gave them a threatening glare and turned away from them.

They weren't going to dare to do anything if he had something to do with it. He turned toward Steele, who was driving recklessly through the highway.

"This could be counted as kidnap, you know." Steele just smiled.

"Where are we going?"

"We are going to one of my places, so shut up and enjoy the view."

Vail pursed his lips and stayed silent.

They reached a medium sized house in an obviously bad neighborhood. The people walking down the streets watched Steele step out of his expensive Mustang but turned away when they realized who it was.

Vail stepped out of the other side and followed Steele up the steps into the house, refusing to acknowledge the onlookers watching him curoiusly.

Vail looked around the house curiously. It was totally plain. There were no portaits or pictures, but that would be obvious for a mob boss.

Steele gestured for him to sit down and pulled out a pack of cigarettes. Vail took the offered one, and they smoked up.

"So, what did you need?" He took a long drag and waited for Steele to answer. Steele leaned forward.

"I need to know where Lucien is."

Vail smirked at him. "I don't even know who Lucien is."

"Don't lie. He obviously knows who you are. If he didn't, he wouldn't have followed you away from a fight. Lucien is not a coward who backs out." He didn't seem angry. He was patient.

Vail shrugged. "It was worth a try, and I actually don't know where he is. To tell the truth, I don't care."

"Fine. Then you will have to complete something else to pay for the first part of Blade's debt."

"And what would that be?"

He was answered when Steele got up off of the couch and sat next to him. He cupped his face in his hands and leaned close to whisper in his ear. "I think you know what I want."

Vail scowled at him.

"I'm not a whore for pay. Fuck off."

He pushed him away from him, and Steele stumbled back. He pouted at Vail.

"Well, it wouldn't be much fun if you just did I said."

"How else do I get the money?"

Steele smiled at him. "You could always help with the warehouses around here. I'm sure that some of them could always use a hand with transportation."

Vail sighed and said, "Fine, which one? The one by Sanico Bay or the one in Dregich?"

Steele stared at him in surprise. Vail almost felt proud of himself for surprising Steele. He'd obviously thought that no one had an idea where his most expensive merchandise was.

Steele smiled at him faintly and said, "You know your stuff. It's the one on Sanico Bay. Don't miss it. I'll let them know that you're coming."

Vail growled at him before shoving him one more time and barging out the door. That man infuriated him!
