this is a yoonmin story i swear.
jimin stood outside the meeting room, rocking on his heels. he was still nervous to see the counsellor, even though he knew there was nothing to be nervous about.
he was excited for this session though. he was going to write a song with the counsellor about anything he wanted. he was thinking about what the song would be about; hae and his mother, his love for music, yoongi and his misophonia. he thought for a while before he came to his decision.
"hiya, jimin. do you want to come in?" he lifted his head and nodded slightly. the counsellor gave him a small smile which he returned as he walked into the room. "are you excited for today?" the counsellor asked as she sat next to jimin. they'd gotten close enough for them to sit next to each other. the counsellor has talked to jimin the day after his first session to just clear up that he had nothing to be afraid of. it seemed to of worked.
"yes." jimin nodded rapidly, blushing slightly. "i love music."
"before we start has anything happened this week that you didn't tell me last week. i know i had to start changing your sessions to fridays after this week, because of some personal things, so i apologise for that." the counsellor sighed as she got paper and a pen out of her bag and sat back, waiting for jimin to reply.
"oh no, don't apologise. fridays are perfect. gives me something to look forward to." jimin chuckled. "uhh... oh yeah. i had a cat. her name is hae and she's the cutest." the counsellor cooed at the excitable boy and gave his hair a ruffle.
"that's cute. i'm glad your mother allowed it. is she helping in anyway? the cat?" jimin was confused at first because his mother always helped him, until he realised that the counsellor was on about hae.
"yeah. she's so cuddly and she loves curling up by me when i'm watching TV or sleeping." jimin smiled at the thought of hae. he loved her so much even though she'd only be living with him for a couple of days.
"awww. anyway we're going to write a song, right?" the counsellor put a book and a pen in front of jimin. he smiled as he picked up the pen and opened the book, nodding to the question. "what are you going to write about?"
"i want to write about yoongi." jimin sighed. he knew it was probably incredibly weird to write about someone he should dislike but he couldn't help but be fascinated by him.
"i didn't think you knew his name?" the counsellor asked as jimin shook his head. he knew all right. they were in most of the same classes besides music. of course he knew yoongi. and he was pretty damn sure yoongi knew him. "why do you want to write about him."
"because even though i should hate him. i don't. i can't. i couldn't hate anyone. i know he hasn't apologised and i'm pretty sure he won't. i can't get enough of him. he seems nice if you get to know him... and he's cute." jimin chuckled as he felt his eyes water with fear and embarrassment.
"that's fine, jimin. you know maybe one day he will apologise. maybe he's right for you. or maybe he's not. you'll find out one day." the counsellor gave his shoulder a quick pat and jimin smiled. it was nice to know that someone could listen to him and not judge him. if he told his mother this than she'd hit the roof. and hae... well jimin had told hae but she couldn't really say anything back.
jimin and the counsellor worked on his song for most of the session. he had about five minutes left when he finished. the counsellor was so pleased to see jimin in his element. to see him so focused on something. to see him happy even if the song he was writing wasn't that happy. she was pleased that what she was doing was making him feel some sort of comfort and that he had opened up to her. jimin decided to sing the counsellor his song before he left.
