yoongi was in a bit of a situation. he didn't know whether to apologise to jimin or not. he didn't think for a hot minute that jimin would even except the apology anyway, so he didn't think there was any point, but he knew, deep down that he had hurt the boy.
he was home alone. he didn't go to college because he thought his situation was one to take the day off. and he just didn't want to face seokjin and the rest of the boys.
he knew that jungkook and seokjin were on their frees right now so he decided to get some advice. he got himself comfortable on the sofa, crisps by his side as he switched on the TV. he put on a show on Netflix and mentally prepared himself to ring his friends. especially seokjin.
he tapped on jungkook's contact first and rang him, taking only a few rings for him to answer.
"yo?" a tired voice answered the phone. jungkook must have been up quite late for him to be this tired. or maybe college starting early is just tiring. yoongi thought it would be the second one.
"hey, kook." yoongi sighed. jungkook was probably the only one that got him right now. all the others had taken jimin's side. they didn't even know him and they're letting him break them apart. "listen, i need some advice... or just your opinion."
"of course, what's bothering you?" yoongi took a deep sigh. jungkook's opinion was probably the one he was going to go for. he hoped jungkook would say something worthwhile but then again, it was clear as day that jungkook wasn't too fussed on jimin.
"i think i should apologise to jimin. i'm not sure actually whether i should." yoongi waited as the other side went quiet. jungkook was probably thinking of a response to give yoongi. one that was worth his time.
"why should you?" jungkook chuckled bitterly, making yoongi frown. "he's already breaking our group apart. our friends are willing to leave us for him. do you want to apologise to someone like that?"
"i guess you're right." yoongi sighed for what felt like the millionth time. he had a point. his friends that he'd known for a long time were willing to break everything just for a boy they barely knew.
"yeah, you'll thank me one day, yoongi." yoongi chuckled as did jungkook. he thanked jungkook for his advice and told him to come around to his house later so they could play some games, jungkook agreeing straight away.
yoongi ate some crisps that were in the bowl and watched some of his TV show before he had the balls to call seokjin. he hovered his thumb over the call button before finally pressing it. it took seokjin a little longer to answer than jungkook, but yoongi figured he was pissed and probably busy.
"what?" a monotonous voice erupted from the other end. yoongi swallowed the lump in his throat as he took a shaky breath. here goes everything.
"nice to talk to you too, jin." yoongi laughed. he just wanted to get this over with. "i need some advice."
"this better be good, yoongi because me and namjoon are having coffee." jin sighed. yoongi was sweating profusely in fear.
"should i apologise to ji.."
"yes the fuck you should!" yoongi had to move his head from his phone because seokjin was screaming in his ear. yoongi could've sworn he heard namjoon's voice saying 'babe, calm down.' he ignored it.
"yeah, but why?" yoongi took some more crisps from the bowl, munching them happily as he heard seokjin swear up a storm on the other side of the phone.
"why? why!? i'm gonna sit here and fucking tell you why!" yoongi jumped not expecting seokjin to burst his voice through the phone. "because you've been a horrible fuck and he probably feels extremely bad right now. you made fun of him and you don't even have the fucking decency to apologise."
"i want t.."
"what the fuck has happened to you, yoongi?.. huh? you have the audacity to ask for advice. you know damn well that if that happened to any of us, you'd be crawling up our asses to apologise. he has no one, yoongi. he's alone and you hurt him. this isn't you."
"he probably wouldn't even let me apologise to him." yoongi sighed, tears forming as he wiped them away. he wasn't going to cry. especially not over jimin.
"then try. try and try again until he lets you. if this was you you'd want someone to apologise, so apologise to him." seokjin had calmed at least a bit. "like i said, yoongi... if you don't apologise to him by the end of the week, we're done... and i'll make sure that jungkook's done with you too."
"why, jungkook?" yoongi stood up, confused. jungkook was probably the only one that gets him out of all the boys. and they've been friends since yoongi could remember. seokjin wasn't about to ruin that.
"because hoseok's right. yoongi, jungkook looks up to you so much, and right now you are a very bad influence. you know i saw him push someone into a metal pole the other day, because the kid called him a bad name. and you wanna know what he said when i asked him why he did it?" seokjin paused, taking a deep breath. "he said that's what yoongi would do. you're turning him into someone he's not. and one day it's going to bite you in the ass. he's going to do something and everything's going to come crashing down."
"i highly doubt that." yoongi laughed. like hell would jungkook ever go against him. they were best friends. friends don't betray the other. yoongi trusted jungkook with his life, he's sure that jungkook wouldn't risk their friendship.
"you just wait, yoongi... apologise to jimin, before you lose all your friends." seokjin hung up the phone. yoongi threw it next to him on the sofa and sarcastically chuckled.
"bye to you too." he bent down to grab the bowl of crisps and walked to the kitchen. he thought about everything for what seems like hours before coming up with his final verdict. jungkook would probably hate him but he couldn't lose everyone. and jimin might not be that bad. he was going to apologise. he was going to do it the next day.
hello :))) i would really appreciate it if you read the following notes because i do outline some important things that i think you need to acknowledge
i hope you've had a wonderful christmas and enjoyed yourself.
i wasn't going to put out a chapter today but i found time to write it and i want this to kind of be an apology from me, because i've been extremely inactive the whole year and it must be annoying. i promise to you and to myself that i will write more following into the new year and throughout. i hope i can bring out chapters and books that bring you some sort of joy or comfort even though most of my books are angst (even though i'm devastatingly horrible at writing)
as you have probably been seeing i've been posting chapters around 8:30pm UK time, i have no idea what time that is for you. but i'm probably going to keep that time because it gives me time to write my chapters, edit them etc. if you do find any problems with the timing of my updates please don't hesitate to tell me and i can discuss with you in the comments because my messages and stuff don't work on here because i have a stupid email that doesn't work. or you could hit me up on Twitter. don't hesitate to come to me about anything. i write these books not only for my enjoyment and because i love to do it, but also for your enjoyment and i want your input or any ideas for books you'd like me to write about if you don't want to write about it yourself. or if you just need a friend :))
i sincerely thank you for the support you have been showing this book and it motivates me to the highest level.
i hope to be back tomorrow with a new update
